I have had one of the most worked up and stressful days today.
Hello beautiful souls , it's utymarvel welcome to my diary about 30 days at the Psychiatric. Well even if I was prophesied to, that I'll be able to overcome All the work for this day, I would blandly refuse.
We got information about the sudden change in our Clinical experience. School of psychiatry wasn't in our Itinerary for the year but next year, it was quite
surprising to us the recent development but we had no choice but to move.
So today started with lots of folding and packing. Normally I would have just moved with a few clothes including my uniform but I heard stuff are quite expensive there , so I had to do some shopping for a lot of Foodstuffs including plantain, rice, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, fish, crayfish beverages, toiletries and everything possible. Trust me I spent some good hours in the early hours of the morning ready for this trip.
After everything was packed and Set, our Bus arrived and we started the second round of packing of luggages into the bus. After about an hour we were all set and ready to move. The journey took about 45 mins to an hour. It was fun, saw some chill sights, sang and played a lot of games on the bus till we reached our venue.
When we got to our Destination, School of Psychiatry Eket. We unpacked our luggages and started cleaning up our assigned hostels. With all these activities, you should know very well that I was exhausted and famished by then.
We didn't come to play here, so of course we had our first Lesson on Psychosis, SCHIZOPHRENIA in Particular. We learnt the meaning as a chronic disorder in the brain characterized by distortions in emotions, speech, coordination and overall behavior in general. We looked at the features, signs and symptoms. We further explored the types and examples.
My lecturer did a good job today. Even though I was tired, I learned a whole lot today. Lastly I went back to my hostel, prepared dinner and as I'm talking to youI'm about to have a tired princess sleep ..
