It is wonderful when we spend these family moments, so necessary for the soul, the family gathers around a celebration, the first big celebration that takes place after the death of my sister-in-law as a result of Covid-19, on this occasion her daughter had a birthday, and she wanted to celebrate it properly since it was her 40th anniversary, and of course we were all there to support her. Obviously, in these types of celebrations one greatly misses those who are no longer here, either because they left for other directions or because they died, as in the case of my sister-in-law in 2021, but it is precisely during these happy moments when the family replenishes its energy, when it is filled with positive spirit and in a certain way is reborn, which is why I like them so much. I had the opportunity to see people I hadn't seen in many years and we immediately started catching up on anecdotes.
Es maravilloso cuando pasamos estos momentos familiares, tan necesarios para el alma, la familia se reúne entorno a una celebración, la primera celebración grande que se hace luego del fallecimiento de mi cuñada a raíz del Covid-19, en esta ocasión su hija cumplía años, y quiso celebrarlo en condiciones ya que se trataba de su aniversario número 40, y desde luego todos estuvimos allí para apoyarla. Obviamente que en este tipo de celebraciones uno extraña mucho a los que ya no están, bien sea porque partieron hacia otros rumbos o porque fallecieron, como en el caso de mi cuñada en 2021, pero es precisamente durante estos momentos felices cuando la familia repone energías, cuando se llena de espíritu positivo y de cierta manera renace, pro eso me gustan tanto. Tuve la oportunidad de ver a personas a las que tenía muchos años sin ver e inmediatamente comenzamos a ponernos al día con las anécdotas.
After talking for a while with the guests, the party reached its peak of fun, entertained by my niece (the birthday girl) and her aunt. It was a hilarious moment that also got everyone excited because after a while the room was filled with people dancing.
Luego de conversar un rato con los invitados la fiesta llegó a su punto álgido de diversión, amenizado por mi sobrina (la cumpleañera) y su tía, fue un momento divertidísimo que además entusiasmó a todo el mundo porque al rato la sala se llenó de personas bailando.
Normally I am not a person who dances a lot, I don't know why, it doesn't suit my personality, I prefer to stay seated, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good party, in fact I really like watching other people dance, that also amuses me, fun moments always arise, they were also playing at that time a good session of dance music from the 80s and 90s, specifically merengue by Las Chicas del Can, Juan Luis Guerra, Fernandito Villalona, the Rosario brothers, etc., and I honestly consider that it is some of the best music that exists in the Latin repertoire, they are the songs that most liven up the parties, not only in Venezuela, but in any country.
Normalmente yo no soy una persona que baile mucho, no sé porqué, no va con mi personalidad, prefiero permanecer sentado, pero eso no significa que no pueda disfrutar de una buena fiesta, de hecho me gusta mucho ver a las demás personas bailar, eso también me divierte, siempre surgen momentos divertidos, además estaban poniendo ene se momento una buena sesión de música bailable de los 80 y 90, específicamente merengue de Las Chicas del Can, Juan Luis Guerra, Fernandito Villalona, los hermanos Rosario, etc, y honestamente considero que es de la mejor música que existe en el repertorio latino, son las canciones que más animan las fiestas, no solo en Venezuela, sino en cualquier país.
When it was time for karaoke, I really enjoyed it because my daughters put on quite a show singing and entertaining the party, one of them even sang for me a Selena Quintanilla song that I really like, everyone was very happy and lively, having a good time.
Cuando llegó la hora del karaoke la disfruté bastante porque mis hijas hicieron todo un show cantando y amenizando la fiesta, incluso una de ellas cantó para mi una canción de Selena Quintanilla que me gusta mucho, todos estaban muy contentos y animados, pasando un buen rato.
And at the time of singing the birthday and cutting the cake, everyone was happy too, especially the grandmother of the person celebrating, a 94-year-old lady who, thank God, is quite healthy and strong, God allow her to continue like this. The cake was delicious and was made by the birthday girl herself since she is a great baker and in fact has her own bakery, so it was not necessary to hire the services of someone else, and the decoration topper was made by her sister, since she has a craft business and the truth is that everything she makes is beautiful and of good quality.
Y en el momento de cantar el cumpleaños y cortar la torta todos estaban felices también, sobre todo la abuela de la festejada, una señora de 94 años que gracias a Dios está bastante saludable y fuerte, Dios permita que continué así. La torta estaba deliciosa y fue hecha por la propia cumpleañera ya que ella es una gran pastelera y de hecho tiene su propia pastelería, así que no era necesario contratar los servicios de alguien más, y el topper de decoración lo hizo su hermana, ya que tiene un negocio de manualidades y la verdad es que todo lo que hace es hermoso y de buena calidad.
