Returning home from dumdum

in Daily Blog2 years ago

First of all welcome to today's new blog.

In today's blog I will share with you some of the problems I faced while returning home from Dumdum. This happened a week ago. I went to Rabindra Bharati University in the morning that is my university. To reach there, first we have to get down from the nearest railway station to Dum Dum and then from Dum Dum Metro Rail Station we have to take Metro Rail to Girish Park. From there, our university is a short walk away.

However, I went to the university and did all the classes that day. Our university holiday was around 4 pm. Even after the university was over, all of us friends sat and chatted in the university for about an hour...

After the chat, we left the university on foot and took the metro from Girish Park metro station. After arriving at Dumdum, we see that there is no train for our return home. So we have to wait like 30 minutes for the next train. That day I was already tired after doing the university classes and still I was spending time thinking that I have to wait for 30 minutes. Although time was not passing, I was walking around the station. Then 30 minutes passed but I didn't see any train, I heard the train running late. Then after about twenty minutes I saw a train. Due to the late arrival of the train, the platform was already crowded with thousands of people. Every platform of Dum Dum station was full of people. As soon as the train arrived, people rushed to board the train. Everyone is jostling to get on the train. I could not board the train in this bad condition.

It cannot be said that I did not try, I tried but under no circumstances did I get a chance to board the train. I could not board the train even after waiting for so long, I was getting a little angry thinking about it. Thinking that there is nothing to do, I started waiting again. The time was passing very badly because I was very hungry, but after waiting for so long I could not board the train. I was standing on a side waiting for the train. After about an hour, I got an announcement that our car is coming to Barasat. Then as usual, after waiting for some time, the train came. The jostling of people does not end after the arrival of the train. In the evening, everyone finishes their work and returns home, because of this there are so many people and there is so much jostling. I don't like this kind of push and shove at all, but what else can I do to get back home?

I endured everything and got on the train. After boarding the train, I got some relief thinking that I can go home now, but after getting on the train, I got into trouble again. The train came and stopped at Dum Dum station, I could not get any signal to leave the train. Nobody can do anything in this case so I waited again. I waited for about 20 minutes then the train left. These twenty minutes did not pass at all. A very uncomfortable situation had to be endured in the train. It was unbearably hot because of the heavy crowd but the fans of the train were also kept off at that time. All in all a bad situation which maybe I can't express in words. However, it was very difficult to return home that day. The ordeal ended after about 30 minutes when I alighted at the railway station near my home.

It's quite complicated your return home, public transport sometimes gets very bad, but you have to be patient.

Whoosh!
If I were in this situation I would have died a thousand times already.
I’m sorry you had to go through this stress just to get home.

I’ve never been on a train before. In my country we mostly use buses to get to our destinations. Aside the traffic jam I think it is a bit convenient for us.

Can’t you catch a bus at your side to get home?
