Can I just say that this platform is one of the best platforms I've ever come across in a very long time? The fact that I can come here and post whatever my interests are, express myself however I want to, show my skills and talents and interact with wonderful people is so amazing and liberating. Forgive me for not introducing myself first.
ABOUT ME
My name is Abigeal Ayomide Olugbemi and I am a Nigerian. I was raised in the Southern part of nigeria, Lagos to be precise, but presently I live in Ilorin kwara state where I'm pursuing my B.Sc degree in health education. I am from the yoruba tribe and I speak both Yoruba and English language fluently. I'm a Christian and due to my love for music you are right to assume that I belong to the choir unit in church. Not to brag but I can say I do sing well, well people have confirmed that times without number. I am a fashion enthusiast/stylist. Since I was little I've always had a unique fashion sense. Initially, I thought you need to have a big wardrobe or rich in bank before you can be a true fashionista but as time goes on I realised that you can made do with the little that you have. Since then I've made it a point to always look exceptionally good.
FAMILY BACKGROUND
I come from a family of 6 which means I have three(3) siblings. I am the first born and my siblings comprises of two girls and one boy. My brother(who goes by Daniel) is the second born of the family and like all second borns, he is very mischievous lol. Moji, the third born is the fun person of the family while Bernice
the last born is the introvert type.
My parents are good Christians and we are being brought up in the ways of the Lord. My mum is a disciplinarian just like my dad but he is a bit lenient compared to mum which makes me a Daddy's girl🙈.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I finished high school in the year 2020 and I secured an admission into the University of Ilorin to study Health Education in the year 2021. The course wasn't my preferred course as I applied for Nursing but unfortunately the university have me a different course. I had passion for healthcare which was why I applied for Nursing. When I accepted the given course I had the mindset of studying nursing later but right now, I'm not so sure. This is because studying Nursing after getting this degree will consume lot of time and money as the course is no longer cheap in my country. The goal now is to make enough money to take care of myself and my family. In order to achieve that, I've equipped myself with some skills that can help in money generation.
SKILLS AND TALENTS
After completing my high school, I realised I was good at putting words together and through that, I went further to develop my writing skills. I even took a course in content writing and I've actually written for some website which I'm quite proud of. The dream is to develop myself more and be a professional writer eventually. This why I'm glad to be joining this platform because it is a wonderful place to develop my skills further and I can wait to start dishing out content.
Aside being a writer, I am a fashion enthusiast and I have created over 40(fourty) outfit collages. This here is my one true passion and it has been a source of income for me as I sell those collages to people. I also provide styling tips and advice to people based on body shape and sizes including the color of fabrics in contrast to their skin tone. This is called color analysis and I also get paid for my service.
Finally, music is one of my most prized skills. I've loved singing since when I was a little girl and over time, I have develop my singing ability by taking training classes in singing. There I've learnt how to score music, take care of my voice, sing eloquently, etc. Also, I've learnt how to use my voice to the best of my ability and over time, I have seen tremendous changes in the way I sing. I can't wait to share my music talent with you all as I've seen a lot of wonderful communities here where musicians thrive.
HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE
I was introduced to hive through a sister in church. She goes by the name @gloriaolar here on hive. She noticed my talents and skills and she encouraged me to join hive as its a place where these skills will be appreciated. I said appreciated because I've been on other platforms like fiverr and its been a struggle making waves there as a newbie. I hope I will be able to thrive here though I know I have to give it my very best and that is what I am planning to do.
