Good morning my beautiful Hivers. I want to share an amazing story of my mountain Experience this year 2025. I pioneered a group of young and energetic, spirit- filled youths.
Four years ago, we started what we call mountain experience were we usually climb the eggon mountains known as EGGON HILLS OR AGBOR HILLS for a retreat- an amazing time with the Lord at the beginning of the year. I want to share a bit of the experience we had this year with you my family. Hope it will bless and encourage someone here.
AT THE MEETING POINT
As the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon on January 1st, our ministry group converged at the FRONT GATE of Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) LCC BETHEL LAND, Angwan Kpandom, Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
The young people gathered beginning for 4:00am and we left the meeting point at exactly 5:30 am. The amazing story hereis that we used an old pickup van to convey us to a village call Wulko/Endehu where the foot of the mountain is. The pickup car was so filled that one of it's tire bursted while on transit but glory be to God it was not bad because we didn't lose anyone. The young men and women drop and start trekking until the driver with the help of few young adults was able to fix the tire to pick us up again and finally we got to Wulko village.
AT THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAIN
At the foot of the mountain, eager to embark on our annual pilgrimage. This sacred tradition, observed for years, was a poignant blend of prayer, introspection, and goal-setting, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of nature.
With spirits lifted and hearts expectant, we began our journey of ascent, treading the winding trail that snaked its way up the mountain. The initial stages of the climb were marked by easy camaraderie, laughter, and conversation, but as the incline grew steeper and the air thinner, our collective focus shifted toward the task at hand.
Hours of hiking finally yielded to the majestic panorama that unfolded at the mountain top. The altar, a symbol of our reverence and awe, stood as a testament to the transcendent power of faith. It was here, surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of creation, that we poured out our hearts in prayer, seeking divine guidance, wisdom, and empowerment.
The atmosphere was alive with an almost palpable sense of the divine, as if the heavens themselves had parted to release a fresh anointing upon us. Tears flowed, hearts were healed, and lives were transformed as we communed with God and with one another.
Following our time of prayer, We discussed on a theme FOCUS AND INCREASE. we shared testimonies of God's faithfulness and reflections on the past year. We acknowledged triumphs, confronted setbacks, and recommitted ourselves to the pursuit of our destinies. The sense of unity and purpose that pervaded our gathering was nothing short of remarkable. We also had good time to eat and share Communion with one another. Wow the excitements and fellowships was something to remember always.
As the day wore on, we reluctantly initiated our journey down the Mountain top. the mountain top experience forever seared into our collective consciousness.
The journey downward was marked by an easy camaraderie, laughter, and storytelling, as if the bonds forged in the fire of our shared experience had rendered us inseparable.
BACK TO THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAIN
Back at the foot of the mountain, we reconvened, this time to share a meal and celebrate the dawn of a new year.
Then, we called on our pickup driver again to return is back to the city of Akwanga, finally after some moments of waiting he arrived and with excitement we all jump in and this time around a little distant from the Endehu, An ugly incident that ended up in making us trek back to akwanga town on foot. One of the tire again bursted, and this time around in order not the risk the life of any of the young people we decided to start moving, while on the move we started calling out for help on every vehicle and motorcycle we saw passing, some assisted pick two or three persons to akwanga. This continue until we all got to akwanga around 6:30 pm.
Though our mountain sojourn had come to an end, its impact would reverberate throughout the coming year, reminding us of the transformative power of prayer, community, and reflection.
As I reflect on our mountain experience, I am reminded anew of the enduring power of faith and fellowship. May the lessons learned on that windswept mountain top continue to inspire and guide us as we navigate life's complexities, ever pressing toward the fulfillment of our divine destinies. 2025 was declared our year of FOCUS AND INCREASE. We will focus and we will increase.
Regards.

Thank you so much. Glad to meet you here too.
Thank goodness all of you were safe from that incident. The tire bursted twice on separate occasions? That's a big one! But God is alive and He watches..
