So many people have always viewed double dating as a way out of not getting disappointed when one partner leaves.
Double dating is when you are dating more than one guy or lady. It is something that happens with the both sex. Some claim to double date because of security, they feel that even when one disappoints them or fumbles,there will always be a quick replacement.
Some lady's also do it to acquire more financial help from different guys,this is common among ladies. They feel that when you date one guy and you need money, if he refuses to give you then you are only on your own but with different guys you can easily pick on all of them at the same time with at least one can give a helping hand out of all. Some ladies even date different men for different purposes,some for free food, recharge cards or subscription charge, sex, money, rides etc.
Relationships are meant to be about love, trust and respect. None of that is present when one double dates. I have heard ladies say that they cannot trust or respect boyfriends until they marry them and I ask each time; “If you are with someone spending your time, emotions energy and finances and yet have no trust and respect for them, then does that not mean you have a problem? Does that not mean you are a child?” because the last time I checked only a child rushes into things without proper thought and planning and no consideration of the cost to himself or herself.
When you commit to a relationship, you are saying in essence that the person is someone you like or love, as the case may be and want to pursue an exclusive partnership with the person. The idea is that no one else is then allowed to be as close to you as they are or have the kind of access to you that they do. Then you start to build together and make the relationship grow to the point that if marriage is what you are both after, it goes there with time. How soon depends on each individual relationship so we cannot have a benchmark for everyone on timing.
When a person says that they are in a relationship then secretly seeing someone else, please let us call it what it is and not play with words and phrases to look smart and mature. It is not wisdom or cool and it is not a basket and eggs issue; it is cheating, plain and simple, and if they are married, then it is called adultery.
We have come to be so careless and immature about so many important things in life that we now behave as if they are nothing. This is why people can find it so convenient to cheat on one another and call it an insurance policy. If you are with someone you do not trust and love, then you have problem not them as it is either they are that bad or you are paranoid, selfish and unserious. Either way, is that not a reason to end it and walk away?
