Childish things I had to leave behind:-- A FUNNY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE.

Majority of every adult once had a very funny experience as a child while growing up, childhood experiences has to be a memorable experience we don't want to just let go but have to because of maturity sake despite the pleasure and enjoyment.

I had different childhood acts that some people around me began to say "this is way too much, you gat to stop" is it from separating the ice cream substance from the cake licking only the ice cream on it, or putting my face directly to a electric standing fan while saying some words just to sound like a robot machine or riding a condemned vehicle tire along the street of my community, there are many more experiences I had I just can't mention them all. When you remember those lovely days and the childish behaviour you would wish to go back and enjoy one last time those moment, but that's not how life works now responsibility has set in we are now getting older day after day.

But there was one that stay much longer in me that others, the festive season period, oh my! I don't joke with such period the gift that flies up and down, the gifting of cash and lots more, the Christmas period was a special one which I believe every kids loves that season period especially on the twenty-fifth and sixth day, I would take my bath and prepare for Christmas service always titled "A new king christ is born" seeing the costume of Santa clues has put me in a merry go round atmosphere, I had that joy walking around with Santa clues like as if it was the messiah, hahaha how childish I was.

After I get home from service my other sparkling sandals is waiting for me ready to go around that community in the spirit of yuletide "merry Christmas " going from one house to another was a common children thing back in the days and I guess I took that part personal, laughs. Not going out on a day like christmas was like you've put me in a isolated cave in an unknown location, that was how I felt.

The amount of kilometers my little legs could go would surprise you, I could walk all round my community to every Christian homes in under eight hours of day light then returning back home like a sheep without shepherds, guess what!? I wasn't the only kid doing this home to home visitation, let me state it clear I had a crew that we shared that same mindset of Christmas is a day and time of going from one door step to another while putting on my best clothing of the whole year, just like the American celebrate "HALLOWEEN".

Fuuny enough that period I can boast of a whooping amount of cash from well wishers during my inter house movement, I will be returning home with a lot of cash having it in mind that I would get something for myself with it, only to be childishly deceived by my elder siblings that it can be kept safe by them only for them to use it for thier own pleasures, because as a child I really don't understand that concept of saving money for the rainy days, what was on my mind was biscuit, chocolate snacks, ice cream and lots more.

Before the arrival of Christmas season I would be pressuring my parents to get me a watch and a plastic spectacle with the colour blue because that was my favourite colour.

These childhood experiences that turned memories now was the definition of joyous moment for me as a kid back then, with a grin and smiles on my face right now I am happy to share with you my childhood experience post with you, thank you for reading through.

The childishness of childhood is a fun, beautiful and once in a lifetime experience where u get to do anything without much worries at that age and as u said you trekked for hours without feeling fatigue just so u can get some money or gift from Christmas well wisher.
I would say i missed those days alot also and will like to go back to revisit and live in that moment for awhile but adulthood won't allow or permit it.
For those that didn't experience th fun and beauty of childhood and had to grow up fast, i will say u guys missed alot.

We all had funny and childish things we did while growing up. But now we are matured, we don't think children anymore. Thank you sir.

Exactly now that responsibility and work load have set in, no more time for those childhood experiences

Childhood experiences are indeed fun filled experiences, no extreme violence, no bills to pay, all we knew then was to go to school, engage in some silly play, eat and sleep. It was actually fun but still, we thank God for growth...
Thank you for sharing this with us @chizzy100

You see that part of "no bills to pay" that was everything, like our brains was free of having deep calculated thought.. I miss those days, thank you sir

Nice memories. I was fond of a lot of childish acts especially the talking through a blowing standing fan to hear the twisted sound

Hahaha, I took that kinda of play personal o, I was so into it. Thank you for the pleasantries. We had same wonderful and funny childhood memories

Though they seem childish looking back at it it was quite fun though. Those were the times, when Christmas was still Christmas. When I look at our present time it is as if kids of this generation are growing too fast, or being matured before their time. I don't think that they get psyched up about Christmas as much as we did during our time.
Peace ✌️✌️

Ohh I miss the days of walking up and down, seriously kids of today don't do stuff like that anymore they would instead seat on thier phones and tablet browsing the internet, I really miss those days. Thank you for your insight Dear @diivy

I lowkey miss my childhood days because everything i needed was provided for. Without any form of responsibility or acountability, i just eat, sleep, play, cry and it goes on and on.

Wow that's wonderful to hear, be grateful because so many people wished for same privilege

Hahaha you are lucky o, most of us had to start hustling at a tender age, knowing fully well we couldn't afford much
