Confidence and Self-Esteem.
Introduction:
Confidence and self-esteem are very wonderful and beautiful way of fulfilling destiny and life.
When you have confidence and self- esteem , you are automatically empower to overcome obstacles and equipped to reach your full potential. When we developed confidence and self-esteem, we open ourselves to new opportunities and build stronger relationships.
What is confidence?
Confidence means having beliefs, trust and faith in one's abilities, judgment, and actions. It's the type of unshakable belief in oneself, even when things are not going well or are tough.
What is self-esteem?
Self-esteem is that which covers all areas of our lives that show our worth, value, and usefulness or acceptance.
When we have good self-esteem, we acknowledge our strengths, weaknesses, and accomplishments and joy leading to a positive self-image.
Confidence and self-esteem are of great importance to life.They both enable us to bounce back from setbacks, failures, and criticism.
They both make us to be effective in Communication , effective in expressing our thoughts, Good and active in Decision-Making, reduction in anxiety and doubt and bring about Personal Growth.
With confidence and self- esteem, Our mindset grows and we continuously learn and experience self-improvement.
Reflecting on my life, I've identified some important testimonies or moments that actually proof my confidence and self-esteem.
My boldness in Delivering a speech




before professors at Bethel christian university
matriculation ceremony and conference, I confidently articulated my ideas, engaging the audience and receiving positive feedback. This experience reinforced my ability to communicate effectively.
Participating in a debate competition,

I conquered my fear of public speaking and presented arguments convincingly.
This experience honored my resilience
To develop and maintain confidence and self-esteem, you have to
Practice Positive Self-Talk,
Learn from setbacks and
Nurture supportive relationships and environments.
Confidence and self-esteem are components of personal growth, giving individuals power and great opportunity to get to their place of potential.
Professor Solomon Grundy asked his students questions on confidence and self- esteem during his life time as lecturer in bethel Christian university and I quote:"Do you doubt your ability to succeed, struggle to make decisions or feel inferior to others?" " Are you overly critical of yourself? " He added"If it is so, you may be struggling with low self-esteem and low self-confidence."
Infact,Self-esteem and confidence determine how much you value yourself and believe in your ability to succeed. If you feel confident in being yourself around others, then you likely have high self-esteem. Having high self-esteem is related to increased happiness.
According to Raph Rajah an Indian professor, there is a basic step toward building confidence and self-esteem.Below is what he said:
"A first step toward building positive confidence and self-esteem is to recognize the signs of low self-esteem and understand how it impacts you."
How to improve your confidence and self-esteem.According to Dr .Babra Rice, you can improve your confidence and self esteem by
Practicing self-care or Self-confidence and
Building positive relationships.
I encourage us to work on our mindset for a positive confidence and Self-esteem .
In conclusion,
People with high self-esteem and confidence are generally happy with themselves, value their achievements, and have a positive outlook on life. They have the following qualities
Self-awareness,
Self-acceptance and
Healthy relationship.
They also focus on positive, hopeful thoughts and remind themselves of their strength.
