Power of raising people to be generous

Greeting to everyone of you here.Happy new month.God bless you all.

Our recent Generosity Program for Seat of Wisdom Academy Staff was glorious. Raising people to do good things is very important.We may not live forever that is why we need to do everything possible to raise others to succeed us when we are no more.

We started the training from 28th - 30th October.
Location: Akwanga, Nasarawa State
Participants: Staff of Seat of Wisdom Academy
Duration: 3 days

The objective of this Generosity training program is
to equip staff with the understanding and practice of generosity, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing student-staff relationships people in the community.

Day 1: October 28th.

We started with the following:

  1. Introduction (9:00 am - 9:30 am)
    • Welcome and icebreaker session
    • Overview of the training program
  2. Defining Generosity (9:30 am - 10:30 am)
    • Presentation on the concept of generosity
    • Group discussion: sharing personal experiences
  3. The Benefits of Generosity (10:30 am - 12:00 pm)
    • Lecture on the benefits of generosity in personal and professional life
    • Interactive session: identifying ways to apply generosity in the workplace
  4. Lunch Break (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)
  5. Practicing Generosity (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
    • Role-playing exercises: demonstrating generosity in various scenarios
    • Group activity: creating a generosity action plan

Day 2: October 29th.
We were able to do the following things as activities.

  1. Generosity in Communication (9:00 am - 10:30 am)
    • Workshop on effective communication and active listening
    • Group discussion: sharing experiences of generous communication
  2. Building Positive Relationships (10:30 am - 12:00 pm)
    • Lecture on cultivating positive relationships through generosity
    • Interactive session: identifying ways to apply generosity in student-staff interactions
  3. Lunch Break (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)
  4. Overcoming Barriers to Generosity (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
    • Presentation on common obstacles to generosity
    • Group activity: brainstorming strategies to overcome barriers

Day 3: October 30th.The following things were treated

  1. Sustaining a Culture of Generosity (9:00 am - 10:30 am)
    • Lecture on maintaining a generous work environment
    • Group discussion: sharing ideas for sustaining generosity
  2. Action Plan Presentations (10:30 am - 12:00 pm)
    • Participants present their generosity action plans
    • Feedback and encouragement from facilitators and peers
  3. Closing Session (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)

We decided to do a good
evaluation and the Participant feedback indicated a 95% satisfaction rate with the training program. Participants reported increased understanding and commitment to practicing generosity.
On the 3rd day of the program,we bought some items like soap, and second new clothes and visit Hausa community






where some refugee are living and do share those items as a wonderful ways of showing charity or love to the needy through generosity.
In conclusion,
the 3-day training program on generosity successfully equipped Seat of Wisdom Academy staff with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to foster a positive work environment and enhance student-staff relationships
