What is unconditional love?
Unconditional love is love without strings or boundaries attached.
My late mother, Rev Salome Ekojah told me that Unconditional love is a
love you offer freely. You don't base it on what someone does for you in return. You simply love them and want nothing more than their happiness.
I realized that this type of love,is sometimes called compassionate or agape love.It means it is from our spirit that this type of love can be possible.
According to researcher, Unconditional love was first used in 1667 by John Dryden in his playwright and poet.After that, Eric Fromm a German psychoanalyst, Coined the term in 1934.He associated unconditional love with motherly love in contrast to fatherly love.
If you are born of human, you will agree with me that Unconditional love is a motherly love.
Motherly love is a rare and precious gift, one that transcends boundaries and expectations. It's a love that accepts us for who we are, without judgment or condition. When someone shows us unconditional love, they embrace our flaws and our imperfections.
My students told me a month ago that, they love me not for what I can do or achieve, but for who I am, in my entirety.
From my students statements,I discovered that, Unconditional love is a powerful force that can transform lives. It breeds confidence, fosters growth, and inspires us to be our best selves.
Don't limit Unconditional love to romantic relationships. Extend it to the love of family, friends, and community.
In hive-reachout,we encouraged people by showing them unconditional love because we know that, Unconditional love can take many forms, but its essence remains the same: it's a love that is unwavering, unshakeable, and unrelenting.
I realized during our recent outreach to low-cost in Akwanga local Government area of Nasarawa state, that, one of the most beautiful things about
unconditional love is its ability to heal and transform. It can mend broken hearts, repair damaged relationships, and restore hope.
Please apply and demonstrate unconditional love. It can help us forgive ourselves and others and can also inspire us to become better versions of ourselves, to pursue our passions, and to make a positive impact in the world.
Challenges of unconditional love
unconditional love is not without its challenges. It requires vulnerability, empathy, and understanding. It demands that we let go of our ego and our pride. and our need for control. Unconditional love is not always easy, but it's always worth it.
If you've been fortunate enough to experience unconditional love, cherish it and honor it.
Infact, Unconditional love is a decision to love without conditions, without expectations, and without limits. It's a choice . please make the choice now.
