Sometimes I feel we are fake but we don't even know it. Take for instance, a person will hates himself but go out there and care for others with every thing he has. Isn't that hypocrisy?
I was discussing with a friend recently how that the Bible said, love your neighbor like you love yourself not more than you love yourself. The reason is because I doubt if there is anything we can love more than ourselves. Whatever a man does, good or bad, the aim is to earn something for himself,it can even be to gain God's trust or attention.
We have to learn how to treat ourselves right. Sometimes we beat ourselves too hard, issues that we should address and let go, we sometimes hold firm and allow them to keep eating us up.
Funny enough at times we feel we are disciplining ourselves by doing so, not knowing that it's even one of the things that is preventing us from growing.
Imagine how powerful love is, imagine what it will do in our lives if we allowed ourselves to be the first partaker of it.
It's fine that you are working on this sir, I know it's going to be difficult because we are humans, being hard on ourselves is something that will just happen but when it does happens, don't let it over stay it's welcome.
Self love isn't selfishness, though when it's entirely about you and you cease to see the need to chastise yourself when the need arises, then something is wrong.
Thank you so much sir. This is not just a comment. I've learned from this amazing piece sir.
