not here to say much but am here to share my experience when I travel to Lagos for my music pursue.
See before I start, please don't let anyone discourage you or make decisions for you on how to start a life or how to focus on your career. Why I say so is because,many people that are down today is because they have followed thier friends footsteps or advice,and now they're facing same thing that he/she have faced.
Like example, I used to see many big boys on the street today just strolling around and doing nothing. If you now ask what is happening to this brother, they'll end up telling you that he once had money before but now everything is vanished and gone.
Do you know why is like that..? Is because you were looking after your friends lifestyle, you started they way he started but ended up in square zero. He might be advising you to do like this while he's doing another thing else, before you notice that he is taking you to the wrong way,haaaa by then you don broke patapata and the funniest parts is that when you go back to those your friends in times of need, they'll send you away that you are foolish and stupid for going broke like this,and they're the ones that advice you ooo, but you are now broke they'll run from you.
Back to my trip to Lagos for my music.
Yes when i was talking about going to Lagos for music pursue, everyone was like guy focus on your studies and just hang around everything will be good, I told my parents and friends that am leaving for Lagos no matter what it takes I will face it there.
Thats how I went to Lagos and I landed myself in Lekki phase I, I'm not just writing this to convince anyone okay, I have prove of my stay in Lekki Lagos,if anyone has been to Lekki phase I he/she should know
(Tantilizer, a filling station is just near it and in the round about, there's a big reedem church of Christ just opposite there),by your right hand you will find Ebanor Supermarket,when you go forward you will see Adiba supermarket and also Daytona Supermarket.i can't picture all this information here but anyone that has been to Lekki phase I will know all this places am calling.
Now I have opportunity to stay in Christ Avenue in that Lekki phase I, but it was the grace of God that someone just like me and accepted me to his house after I spend a night outside with mosquito giving me welcome to Lagos. smiles
I quickly rushed and do my CV to look for a job,and finally God bless me with a job in a school called.
(Pinefield school in that Christ Avenue) you can check it out, I work there as a janitor and I was well accepted by the staff and everyone in the school even though they are Still asking always that where is this guy from..?
From the salary I received every month, that's how I always compasate the guy that accepted me to his house and also connected me to that job. And every evening like this, I will go to the clubs that are just by the road side because in the night you will see so many artists coming out to Flex and pop. So we normally stay outside and keep singing our tracks to some of their friends or management, but at the end they'll tell us that don't worry we'll talk to our boss and they'll sign you okay.
But after that day at the club you will never see them again, smiles.. that's how we continue up and down in the street of Lagos as upcoming artist.
I truly enjoyed my trip to Lagos, I enjoyed everything I saw and went through,it was a lesson to me and also a story that will be shared on my songs somedays.
I saw many artists real life but can't get the connection because it's not yet time for me. I truly trust myself in my music and every where I go people always tell me to keep pushing that I will hit the Billboard soon.
My message to all the members of hive blockchain platform is that, focus on what you are doing okay don't get discourage by anyone even your parents because one day you will make them happy and that's just the fact about life and career.
I'm still hoping on God and fighting hard to see myself on a record deal soon and to my fellow upcoming artist, work hard and keep trusting on God,it will soon be a story for everyone to celebrate.
