Season greetings to you all.
It's the Christmas season and I know everyone loves this period for one reason or the other and for me I like Christmas because of the holiday which is long and there are many great preparations, there is no how you will feel it that it Christmas season by the atmosphere and preparations, gifts, and tasty food. I find this time of year as a special time of year when no matter what, life is more relaxed and more about enjoying the festivities of this period.
Towards the end of the year, there is always that great joy we feel. The noise and the activity are exchanged for calm and this is ideal as one can get to rest. I think it’s good to have a break from work after a year as the holiday offer me time to rest and ponder. Loved the idea as it is one of those occasions when I get to let go of complications of life and think about the real values family, good health and being thankful.
The third and significant aspect of the celebration of Christmas is food. The foods served during this time are not only about the cooking but every family put in effort to make this particular season food special if your from my country Nigeria you will understand better, our parents do buy a lot of foodstuffs from the market during this season different kind of dish will be made From the classics and the local favorite, it’s something I plan forward to every year like I just can't wait to enjoy food during this sea. Many families have delicious smells from cooked food that make the house comfortable and welcoming.
So being with friends and family, being at the dining table, makes the whole experience even more wonderful. We listen to different kinds of stories, jokes and just the joy of being around each other. Every morsel of food taken seems like comfort, love, and strong connection are wrapped up in the food taken.
As for me, Christmas has never been just the holiday itself but the time of celebration of homely values of rest and tasty meal. It is a period when people seriously look back at what has happened in the year, or have an opportunity to meet their families and recuperate for the upcoming year. I think this has been made clear to me this long holiday season that more often than not, life is too sweet.
So for me my favorite Christmas experience is just the holiday for rest, food and fun time with families.
