OVERVIEW OF HIVE BLOCKCHAIN
The Hive blockchain is a community driven platform that has taken social media to another level, apart from exploring as a content creator it gives people the opportunity to earn in different ways and be familiar with crypto because it's a webs platform. Simply put, the Hive blockchain is a web3 decentralized blockchain which is fast and secure as it offers opportunities in Content Creation, decentralized applications and also transacting in crypto activities. From my point of view and as a n ardent user/member of the platform, it has in no doubt contributed to humanity in terms of livelihood, having a side hustle, charity, learning and growing and so on.
HIVE AS A PLATFORM FOR HUMANITY
One of the major ways Hive blockchain is contributing to humanity is via its empowerment for content creators in different forms. In some testimonies been shared on Hive, we see how engaging and consistency on Hive have helped people become breadwinners in their families, some engage in it as a side hustle that gets the bills paid while other grow in it. One of the perks is that, it is decentralized hence we have the Autonomous decisions as creators to share our work, build communities, and earn income while at it.
Subsequently, been a content creator does not come in isolation as there is a reward system on the Hive blockchain that rewards creators for the contents they put out there. In essence, there are two means of earning in cryptocurrency on the platform via Hive and Hive backed dollar (hbd),when you dig deeper you realize that there are other community layer two token that can be rewarded depending g on your content.
Rewards on contents works out when a creator creates a content either short form (leothreads) or long form on platforms such as InLeo, peakd.com, ecency.com, neoxian, proofofbrain and so on, they get up votes from other users or whales that find their content to be of quality and standard. In return these up votes and divided in two parts which is Hive power and hbd. The Hive power is a Staked HIVE,
Also known as HP has to do with governance, voting and rewards. The second half goes to hbd, a stable coin coin pegged at a dollar that can be traded.
As we can see that in the Hive platform, it offers vast opportunities to make connections and also make money while at it, if you know your way around. On Hive, it involves a decentralized control meaning there is no intermediary that comes in between contents posted or transactions made, unlike centralized platforms like Facebook, tiktok, YouTube etc. In this platform, we have the right to express ourselves how we deem fit but in a respectful manner, there is no fear of demonitization as experienced on centralized systems, also we can connect with our audiences directly.
One of my favorite community on Hive is the inleo platform because they bring out opportunities that allows content creators grow and earn more. Through such activities like creating short form posts, long form content, zealy.io quest, monthly prompts, winning prizes during contest and leo power up day and so on.
In conclusion, Hive has contributed its quota to humanity by uplifting people and empowering them to become skillful and also get paid.
