The Festive DHF Woodpeckers Proposal Update

Hive_woodpeckers_in_wood_no_glass.jpg

Good afternoon to you all and thanks for stopping by and supporting us.

If you haven't all seen, I launched a DHF proposal for 10HBD to cover my propsoal costs with the aiming of getting more eyes on the Woodpeckers project.
So far it has actually been quite an amazing success.
Some new readers stopped by and have checked us out which is great. 10 HBD in advertising looks to potentially be a great investment for us, but I will see how it goes.

Currently around 7m Vote power off of being funded, which is absolutely amazing and a great show of support from the Hive community. A massive thankyou to @blocktrades for the huge vote, which I'm hoping will bring even more eyes onto the project just from their support.
This is potentially shaping up to be an awesome year for us!
A huge thankyou to all of our voters in general, you are all amazing and I really appreciate all the support you have shown.

** The Plan If It Gets Funded**

So originally I asked for 10 HBD, this was to cover my personal spend on the proposal. I put it for 60 days so that we can get the full amount of views possible.
If it gets funded then that's amazing, but as one commenter put, it works out at $600 or 600HBD if funded for the full 60 days.

My dilemma is that I hadn't thought it would even get funded so I didn't really consider the numbers.

So if it does get funded, I wanted the community to help with what to do with excess funds if there are any,

  1. Do we put it to good use for the group by speeding along the work needed to get us running and in a warm workshop? This would allow us to get our branding work done a lot quicker, as cutting hardwood by hand isn't nice and trying to chisel out on said would by hand is awfully long and painful!
  2. Do we send it back to the DHF for them to sort?

If the community is cool with us using it then it will be great, I have my eye on some wood to get started on our Hive branding sign for the workshop, but the thing ain't cheap.
It will also allow me to use the offcuts to take along to our events and I might even sneak one over to the Lecturer if he's open to displaying it at their meetings too!

Other bits

Still saving for the electrical work that needs doing. So far the costs just keep rising with Copper prices, electrical component prices and the idiotic UK Government trying to tax us all to death!
But alas we will get there slowly but surely.

Yes, you absolutely do.
I couldn't understand what was going on first of all, why you hadn't requested funding for promoting the project locally (although you did ask for the funding, ironically) 😁.
It makes sense now I understand that your idea was to get more eyes on the project.
Well, that's worked and I think using the funding to get your branding sorted makes absolute sense - your idea is to promote Hive to project users, isn't it?

Do we send it back to the DHF for them to sort?

No - that's not the DHF's job. Only you know what's needed and what makes sense locally.

Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement.
Few more days and we will see what happens I suppose.
Quite an exciting time coming for us!
