Forgetfulness is when someone can not remember a particular thing at the moment. Although it is normal to forget things as human , but it becomes a problem when it happens too often. Forgetfulness can affect us academically, it can affect us in the place of work. Most time it affects our conversation with people around us.

Forgetfulness can be caused by many reasons, sometimes it might be that, we need medical attention or a minor issue that can be solved within ourselves.
- Over Stress: Excessive stress can easily affect our brain, at this point we may loose focus on things. Whenever focus is lost, things are easily forgotten
- Not Enough Sleep: have you ever wondered after having a sleepless night. The next day you will feel stressed out it also affect our brain. When we sleep that's the time our brain process and store informations about our past events.
- Eating unhealthy foods: The brains needs good balance diet to function well. If we did not take good foods that supply nutrients to our body, the brain will suffer indeficiency.
- Older Age: As the number of our age increases we will likely have some little lost of memory. But applying good habits, it can be improved.
- Not Paying Attention: Most time we forget things because we never pay attention to the other person. Probably we will be pressing our phone (multitasking) at the same time listening. We can't serve two masters at a time.
- Side Effects of Medicine: Some medicines, like sleeping pills or painkillers, can slow down memory by making the brain feel foggy.

Forgetting things once in a while is no big deal, but when it happens too often, it can start to create real problems.
Struggles with academics or Work: You might study hard for exam, when you finally get into the exam hall, you will forget what you studied and that's the point where you needed it most. Or Imagine missing a deadline of a project at work just because you easily forget things, your boss will definitely look at you as an unserious being.
Relationship Problems: Have you ever forgot your friend's birthday or anniversary between your wife ? Even when you're been told few days to the birthday. Forgetting such an important event can make your friend or partner feel unimportant.

Forgetting to follow the prescription the doctor gave you for your drugs. All this forgetfulness can lead to death or a serious pain and anxiety.

Loss of Confidence: If you always forget something so easily, you may start avoiding conversation, because you you will make mistake or forget an important point. This can lower self-esteem and make social situations stressful.
How to Improve Memory and Reduce Forgetfulness
Forgetfulness is an inevitable journey in Human but you can train your brain to reduce it through the following:
- Sleep more: Rest for 6-7 hours at night. It will help to strengthen your brain and give it new life.
- Reminders: Turn on reminders on your phone, then write those important things that need to be done at a particular time. The reminder will never forget just as you do forget. So it will keep you in track.
- Pay Attention: Stop multitasking and always focus one a particular thing at a time.
- Eat Brain-Boosting Foods: These foods include nuts, fish and vegetables. It helps to strengthen your brains
- Exercise: regular exercise helps to keep maximum blood flow in your system. And the brain needs blood to function properly.
- Update your mind: Try to play puzzle game, read books that will require you to think. Those things helps to keep your brain active.
- Rest: Always rest when you feel stressed out. Forcing your brain to work when it is stressed out can cause some damages. Enough rest will help to improve your brain and keeps it active.
- See a doctor: It is advisable to see your physician if you noticed your problem needs medical attention.
