On this day 20th March 2025 This is what happened to me, I was robbed of fraud act, in my Monipoint account.
I worked up earlier on Wednesday morning checking my account using the app. I saw a debit alarts on my bank history, I was like ah! What is happening... I quickly glanced at my history in the bank app on my phone 🤳 facing the blue light directly on my phone 🤳 edges, weeping thoroughly in my heart with the phone in my hands. I was totally surprised and amazed by what I saw, it has been happening since February but I don't know because I don't use to be active on the bank app, hmmm! a withdrawal of about 20,000 naira that I had not known anything about 🤔. Was being taken from my account.
I called one of the agents, "Mr. Winner" who's my friend and was the one that opened the account for me, I was telling him about the situation with some evidence of screenshot of the receipts and the debit alarts I dropped to him on Whatsapp. After speaking to him, he said there's no one else has access to my account apart from me so it's either my details or the card was being misplaced and someone else saw it and did that transaction. I said no , I have my card and phone always with me how comes these mischievous attitude. 😔
I was so devastated, the money did not belong to me self it's a departmental money which I sold manual to my colleagues in the department and I have to give the money to my lecturer anytime soon.
However, I composed myself and said to Winner, what is the next thing to do, how can we navigate through this monipoint app.? Winner said he would like to get in touch with his boss in the office, meanwhile, I should change my pin and I also blocked the card. Checking on the history again I saw the time that the scenario took place. It was around 12:48 am , I woke on Saturday morning unable to even go to a fixed class in the school because of what had happened.
I still navigate through my phone 🤳 and summit a form of refound on the bank app. The investigation is ongoing , I have been checking on the investingating status morning and night hoping to see any updates. In life things happened sha, but this really pains me because, it's not my personal money I wouldn't be bothered so much that I do. I will be at Winner's head until I see a positive response from him.
I have moved on in my inner mind thinking and reasoning on how to sort out everything 😭 this is really a sad news.

STOPI'm sorry to hear about the misfortune. Your account officer asked the necessary questions because there's no way this action can take place without knowing your card details or having access to your phone; it surprised me too.
