When I started out as a blogger on hive it was out of desperation and not something I would have thought of if I was not a dead broke student that was looking for any way to survive. I never anticipated that three years down the line, I would have gotten a lot from blogging. Writing and content creation opened me up to parts of myself I never knew existed before. At the beginning it was like raw gold and hardly anyone would want to read the content I posted out there. I had to find a way to grow and improve myself on the blockchain which came by first reading the contents of others and when I did that consistently, I began to have an idea of who I wanted to write like, and what I wanted to sound like. Today I write scripts, Business contents (Content and sales writing) alongside fictional contents.

I wouldn’t call myself a prolific writer just yet because I know of others whose contents are three times better than mine. One of my very first stages of growth was learning from a man called galenkp here on hive, although I discovered he wasn’t someone I could learn from up close, but his level of consistency and style of writing is top notch. He keeps you glued to his post with a very expressive style of writing paying every attention to details and at the same time not saying too many words. After him I stumbled upon the freewriters community who helped sharpen my writing precision with their daily contests. Sometimes you will have to make a full story with just 50 words or 260 letters which was kinda hard at first but I got a hang of it and could tell a story with a few words.
After learning from them, I stumbled again on the inkwell community who taught me how to write fictions and even though I made a lot of mistakes in my learning process, they never stopped correcting me when necessary. From them I learned a lot about storytelling which I introduced into all my posts and thus has made me a better writer. I picked up a few things from hive friends and those things formed the foundation of the kind of writer I am today. Although I’m not perfect, seeing that I have just told a story of how I became a good writer without saying I was going to tell a story at all is proof of just how much I have grown.
No need to look up to check if I mentioned I was going to share a story at the beginning, but the fact that even after I have finished sharing my story your mind is still reading up to this point is another proof that I have been able to successfully capture your attention and keep it throughout the post which was something I learned from galenkp. It’s interesting how our minds work right? I never thought I would be able to write like this some years back, and now I just wrote on a prompt as though I was sharing my own thoughts.
