Mental health is a very essential part of health, that's why world health organization say that health is when someone is complete totally stable state of a person including physical, social mentally and spiritually well-being, and there will not be a trace of disease. So it is rare to say that one it completely healthy, but then when it get to do with mental health, it can be of great concern to an individual and to the society as well, because when one is not mentally stable is will affect the individual and the community at large, including the family of the person, this may cause rejection when the matter become so difficult.

Like earlier said, social media have both positive and negative impact on mental health. Social media can impact negatively on mental health through a lot of ways. One of the negative impact is fear and anxiety while Because most time when we engage in things on social media we are always afraid of missing out and this increase anxiety and fear, these affect the mental health badly, people are scared of social media because of the level of scammers and scam on social media, because most people have become victim of these incidents and they have this impression it has more of disadvantages than benefits. Also, because of how everyone is giving most of their time to social media it most time lead to disturbance in sleep, when we expose our eye to the screen of our phone, laptop and others science has it that it reduces the level of malotonin causing difficult or changes in sleep patterns which can be deteriorativeto our mental health. Social Media have caused more of loneliness within users, it can be addictive like drugs and anything that can lead to addiction can mess with the mental health. Most people today can not stay a while day without access social media and this can cause a very big harm to them when they can not reach or when there is breech in accessing social media, by this way the mental health is at risk. In medical line social media is been use to provide healthcare and ideally patient information are supposed to be confidential and when these ill patients information are Accessed by without an authorization it may worsen the situation because some of the information the patient may not want other to hear about it, by this way affecting the mental health so badly and negatively.

In the other hand, social media can impact positively to our mental health. Social Media reduces work stress, these days most of the things we need are already input in the social media, I can remember when I was finding out practical like that very difficult to understand, then I remember that I have social media for some certain reasons like this, so I have to search for the practical and then it was well explain and I grab the whole process without stress. Social Media increases sense of belonging and connected, with social media you can stay updated and active because information they say is power. Social media also provide with us resources and with social we can stay entertained, Educated and informed about things going on. Works these days are make easy all because of social media and internet.

In conclusion social media have both positive and negative impact on our mental health all depends on how we use the social media determine the outcome on our mental health, I will advise the youth and all individual who uses Social media to properly use it well for better purposes.
