Hello my Hive Reachout family. Welcome to my blog. This week is about making the community better and we've been asked about our different opinions to make it a better platform for all it's members.
As we already know, The Hive Reachout Community is a space and platform for connection, support, and also collaboration. Now on the business of the week,how to make it even better than what it is, there is need to focus on engagement, productivity, and even long-term sustainability.
The first area of improvement will be un Engagement and Interaction.
A community that will always thrive is a community that's always active. All members are willing to participate in one thing or the other. I know the community talks about engagement within members starting from their posts. But there are other ways members can be more active.
Hosting physical events: So many times I anticipate to see my other members, get to know them and discuss a whole lot. Trust me this will keep members engaged. Secondly I know that there are reward systems for engaging the community but sometimes it benefits not everyone. Introduction if more reward systems like setting up a weekly leaderboard, giving out badges for the highest participating member, it makes everyone competitive knowing there's a target.
Weekly or monthly Community Challenges: This can really get the members really creative and active. Weekly or monthly activity out of the main content writing and engagement wouldn't be that bad. I'll suggest collaboration, that is collaborative projects in which the members get to work in groups.
Improvement of communication channels
Communication when efficient in a community makes the members have a sense if belonging, they feel more connected and also valued and trust me, the level of engagement will naturally increase. I'll suggest the creation of smaller groups based on the members location to make members connect more and communicate. Also events that members could speak, catch up on the happenings in the community, share their success stories and lots more, these are all forms of efficient communication. Lastly, open the floor for feed backs. A regular survey of members to know and understand their opinions, needs, suggestions and observations.
N/B: When the communication is strong, it has a way of making sure that everyone is always informed.
The solution to making the Hive Reachout Community better just requires some strategies and actions such as membership engagement and collaborative work and practices that are sustainable. These few actions will help in creating a more better and changing community with contributions to make it better and the people feeling valued and respected while engaging.
