Speaking of our weekly prompt, April fools,as far as I know, is normally an avenue where we get to prank our family and friends,but in my country Nigeria we prank shop owners the most. Lol actually they are more fun to prank because you get to shop without paying.
I have always asked myself why April fools? It could be May fools, June fools or March fools but come to think of it April fools sound better.. yeah.. but then again I asked myself who even started the tradition? And why? But these are questions I never got the answers to.
Let me tell you guys a story that has been in my head for a long time now,I just can't forget it, April 1 2007 I experience another level of April fools not the normal family prank, or pranking of shop owners,this time around it a girlfriend pranking her boyfriend oh.. and unfortunately the prank went wrong because the boyfriend was indeed fooled
So I grow up in a large compound with like more then 10 tenants, so this particular April 1 2007 was on a Sunday. That Sunday morning everyone was busy with themselves in the compound some making arrangements for church service while others were up to their own schedule, I was inside dressing for church service until I heard shout and insult coming from outside, nobody knew what happened exactly but everyone was trying to settle this two couple before asking what happened, small me was inside watching through the window
After all the fights and insult everyone begin to ask what happened.this is what made me laugh. According to the girl that yesterday she called him to tell him she will be traveling for a week just so that she can come over the next day in the morning to wish him happy new month and tell him it was April fool but my neighbor got excited that she traveled and brought another girl to his house,that morning upon her arrival she saw the other girl in his arms on the bed, that was where the fight started
To cut the long story short they broke up and went there separate ways, that day I learned that not every prank is needed, while celebrating April fools Day we should not forget others feeling's and our feelings too, very important

Actually everyone is a victim of April fool, you got tricks by family and friends.

Yes not all prank is good just that we mostly don't consider feelings in cases like that

But he wasn't supposed to do that right? He decided to leverage on that opportunity to bring in another girl to the house. I'my this case, the prank was worth it since it actually revealed the truth about the guy..

I think in this case April fool went a good way for the lady. The guy was "April fooled", haha. Nevertheless, like you mentioned, we should be cautious of people's feelings and there should be a limit to this thing, if at all it's even needful at the time.
Honestly to me I don't see the need of the April fool day sef but it is what it is
