In life, one of the things that I see as an achievement is a platform to be heard, and that's what Hive gave me. There are lots of other benefits embedded in this one great gift. My journey into the hive was nothing more than a golden chance, and I will forever be grateful to a friend who introduced me to the hive. Before the time I got to know about the hive, I was a scriptwriter and a story writer, I do write short plays for church drama and schools. This was the only platform I had to showcase my writing skills and gift which I was doing passionately.
The limit of one's knowledge is indeed the end of what one gets to know. An opportunity to see how things are being done in another part of the world would prove to one that, indeed, such an individual lacks knowledge about so many things. Hive is a great platform that has opened my eyes to see areas where I lacked and also given me the privilege to improve and reach out to the world beyond my geographical zone alone. Like I said earlier, there are lots of benefits to one gift.
I was able to grow my writing and speaking skills at a fast pace due to continuous practice and lots of help from different people I met on Hive. One of the things that gave me the desired joy to be on this platform is the fact that there is no discrimination, irrespective of tribe, culture, and country. People are always ready to help, and that is a gift that is rare to come by in the outside world.
Another of its kind is meeting different Intentional people far as other continents. On the hive platform, I met a friend from Canada who is now a blessing to me. Always reading and upvoting my posts, irrespective of how many times I post. Likewise, I have several other friends from different countries who always comment on my posts and give advice to make me a better writer. I will forever be grateful to some people I met in my early days on the hive; they were not just friends, they were family. They supported me in a way that I never expected or imagined, they never gave up on me when I wanted to give up on myself, they never got tired of my multiple questions and they never stopped rendering assistance. Such people are not easy to come by in this generation, where people are acting out of selfishness, yet they care and show love.
Another embedded gift in one thing Hive has done for me is financial freedom, for a young lady trying to make a living through legal means, hive was a blessing to me. My financial story turned around positively since my journey on the hive began. I no longer had to ask my parents or family to get things done. It gave me that financial liberation I've been yearning for for several years. It gave me several opportunities I could explore to make a living and be financially independent. Investment in the blockchain through several platforms was introduced which broadened my knowledge about web3. The one great thing Hive has done for me is that it gave me a platform to be heard.
