Dating in the part of the world I live in is usually a complicated topic. While some ladies usually date purposely for financial security, some guys date for the sole purpose of satisfying their sexual urges and desires, which is deceitful and undermines the purpose of dating.
You could be in a relationship with an individual thinking is a serious relationship but on the other hand, you are only a meal ticket to that individual. Everyone, one way or the other has been deceived or has deceived another in the name of dating just to meet one or two needs.

I have heard of lots of stories where a guy who is seriously invested in a relationship financially and otherwise only to finds out he is only a means to an end and she is not in love with him but with someone else, in which she is already planning to get married to.
I recently read about how a lady took a boyfriend of hers to a wedding cake shop, for cake tasting/selection, in his mind, it was a free treat where they both went out to eat cake without making payment, only to find out some few weeks later that they were shopping for her wedding cake with another man and she took him as a representative of her fiancee which he was unaware of.

In this time and period, I will strongly advise that it is not only important but it is necessary to have a second option.
Ladies tend to marry who is ready and mostly not who they are in love with, most ladies have a marriage clock and usually don't want to pass a certain age before getting married, they tend to have no choice sometimes other than to settle for who is proposing marriage to them.
There is no wrong or right in double dating, it only balls down to what works for you and what you want out of dating.
