Whether he was scared or not it is an obligation for him to stop and check on the kid because of the harm, injury he has caused for the child. Running away will not solve the problem and if he end up been arrested then the case and situation will be worst than before.
But I believe he did the wrong thing by choosing not to stop and running away
I feel so too, we all need to be intentional about our actions
Cause we do not know where life will actually take us to...
