Hello everyone, happy New week Fam.
Iam delighted to share this great topic " the power of gratitude" with you my hive family. Read
on.....
Many of us have become ingrate.no sense of gratitude at all in our hearts. I believe everything starts from the heart, so if one is grateful from within it will show outside then it can be expressed, the same way if someone is genuinely happy or sad it shows from the facial expression. Gratitude is the feeling of being grateful and wanting to express it. Because of the numerous things done to you that you can't do for yourself, you want to express it by saying thank you, mind you that "thank you " most come from the heart if not it is also considered ingratitude. Many a times, we tend to say thank you verbally but it is not coming from our hearts, we're saying just to "fulfill all righteousness" so to say.
Ingratitudes hinders effective blessings both from men and Go. Yes you read that right, Take for instance, you gifted a friend or someone a thousand naira and the person turns and leaves without muttering these two words " thank you" how will you feel? Very bad I guess, or the person says, " what can a thousand naira do for me?" It's too small, right away you will know this is an ingrate.
In the part of the world where I live, morality is highly esteemed, so saying thank you is one of the morals parents inculcates in their children right from childhood. Showing gratitudes opens doors for more, we've been taught as Christians that appreciating God for what he has done gladdens his heart and open doors for many blessings even the ones we didn't asked.
At times we belittle certain things. NOTE: am discussing this both ways, man to God and man to fellow man. You woke up healthy and sound you couldn't mutter words of appreciation? Haba nau, you've seen food to eat, you have a family, you have a roof over your head, you traveled and returned safe, your family can afford school, you went to school , you can breath, you can move and do things yourself, still you've seen no reason to be grateful for? I don't mean just saying thank you oh, I mean gratitude from the heart. Now , those that don't even have such privileges, have seen reasons to be grateful what about you?. Furthermore coming to the gift of men, people that God placed in our lives, when last did you sincerely appreciate your parents for their sacrifices, or you're a kid that always complains about their loopholes? I don't mean posting them on social media alone with the tag "world best daddy or mummy" are you sincerely saying it or , you're just showing the world? . What about those friends and love ones who stood by you, who supported and are still supporting you, have you taken time to pour your heartfelt appreciation? Or you didn't see reason to thank them?.
Going farther on this, I would love to expatiate on certain features of an ingrate. How do they behave? Let's discuss below π
They always complain, they're chronic complainers. They complain against God, man and almost everything in their life.
They live a life of comparison, comparison hinders your growth thereby making someone not to be grateful for what they have. They try to peep other persons lives to see what they own and they want to own the same.
They are greedy, greedy men are never satisfied, they always want more, they desire everything for themselves. These kind of persons can never be thankful.
They are proud and arrogant, it is that same pride that will lead to their fall and destruction. A proud fellow cannot be grateful because he exalts himself high. They belittle " little gifts" to them this is too small for their personality, they're bigger than this.
In conclusion, Gratitude is a pearl, it is valuable virtue we all need to learn. Please learn gratitudes it will go a long way to open doors and build your relationship both with God and men. Be intentional to show gratitudes to God and men around you. Just get a little gift for that your mum or dad and see how they will rain praises and blessings on you.
Hope you're blessed π€

Many of us tend to have this ungrateful heart but choose not to work on it. Little do we know that appreciate can lead to elevation in life. As little as the word "thank you" can be, it has great power in it, and can be a source of blessings to a person's life. I pray we all have this grateful and gratitude genuine heart.
Amen, The more reason we need to work on this if found wanting
Thank you @joshel for reading
You know that aspect of social media, most people think posting their beloved pictures everywhere on their socials is enough but honestly gratitude can go further than that. How do you explain showing gratitude to your mum or dad on Facebook where as they aren't on Facebook..
There are lots of better ways to live a pleasant market in the hearts of our parents and love ones in appreciation for the good deeds they've done for us..
