Hello everyone, I hope you are doing very well and that your day is going very well too. It's a new month already, and I just got to celebrate my birthday on the first of April.
I don't know who invented the April Fool thing, but it is something that is always very funny and annoying at the same time. Like, why would you scare me and later tell me that it is a lie? 😄 Just wow.
I have actually encountered a lot of April fooling, but the one that got me laughing out of my heart was the fooling between my parents. I mean grown-up adults fooling themselves. 😃😃
On a Tuesday morning during the house chores, Mum picked up her phone and dialled Dad's number, scaring him that I had fainted and that he should come in very fast. Being my birthday, Dad was so scared, and I could imagine the thought in his mind, maybe "What could be the matter?" Dad ran in and started shouting from the corridor, "What really happened?" As he came inside, everyone chorused, APRIL FOOL.😄😄
He smiled and pretended as if nothing was wrong, so we thought that everything had gone down. We laughed, and Mum was so happy that she made that happen. We were like, Mum, how did you do this?" Being that my dad is a strong man, emotions do not move him; he is always disposed in his actions.
So in the evening, as we were eating, Mum had a call from a strange number, and when she picked up the call, it was my dad's voice in the background. Dad told Mum that he was arrested and that people were coming to pick Mum up from the police station. Mum was so afraid; I could see fear in his eyes, and that she was not breathing normally.
Mum needed to pack some of her clothes in a bag. I saw her putting my brother's clothes too because he was still a toddler at that time. Mum did not care to ask what Dad got himself into that could get him arrested by the police and why they would want to come to the house and arrest her too. So Mum left for my aunt's place.
I started crying at that point, because why would that happen on my birthday? I was so sad. I just kept the food I was eating and took a worried posture.
At exactly 7:30, I heard a sound of a car outside, and I became so scared, meaning what Dad said was true. I was just ready to cry again when I saw my dad from the window laughing. He asked about Mum, and we told him that he left, and then he said, "APRIL FOOL."
Like wow, Dad got us crying and worried; he later called Mum and told her to come back.
I invite @hively, @perfect2, and @tenderdaniel to join this initiative.
