Mindfulness is the awareness you have for something or yourself so as to keep of certain things.

Self-discipline is the ability to do what you don't feel like doing at a particular time. It makes you able to achieve your tasks no matter how hard they are.

Here are some benefits of mindfulness and self-discipline:

Mindfulness:

It reduces anxiety and makes you calm. If you are aware of something, you will be preparing ahead of time, and proper preparation gives you this confidence and makes you do extraordinary things, even those things you thought were very hard to do.

Mindfulness improves your ability to stay focused, and it makes you concentrate on anything you want to do. Focus helps you achieve a lot of things, and it makes really sure of your results because it promotes productivity.

Being mindful helps your mind to understand other people and accept their perspective. If you are mindful, you will put your legs in other people's shoes to feel the way they feel and also avoid hurting their feelings. This will make sure you become a better person and also help your personal growth because you will learn from other people's knowledge of things.

If you are mindful, it makes you calm, and being calm helps you control your emotions. Right decisions are made when one's mind is calm; you will not have to think anyhow because you are calm. My mum was always very calm, and she used to take decisions after a long time, and those decisions were the best decisions so far. Calmness makes it possible for you to make the right decisions on anything. When you are calm, you think deeply and have foresight about that particular thing.

Mindfulness helps you to be aware of yourself, and you will also have the opportunity to work on your flaws. It makes you teachable and helps you accept the fact that you are wrong when necessary. Having to be calm helps you know what to do at a particular time in a particular situation.

Self-discipline:

Self-discipline helps you set boundaries and helps you raise your standards. Values are made when you determine to set good standards and discipline yourself enough to stick to them. People accord you respect because of what they see in you; they would know what you stand for and try to keep up with that.

You will be able to achieve a lot when you discipline yourself enough. If you have a task ahead of you, it will not be hard for you to achieve them because when you are disciplined enough, you set your mind on that particular and do it very well.

Self-discipline helps you build yourself enough to persevere. It gives you the ability to do a thing no matter how hard they are or no matter how you do not want to do those things.

Self-discipline helps you become accountable even when nobody follows you up. You become accountable to yourself, and you will be able to tell yourself the truth.

We need these two to become what we ought to become.

I agree with your comments on accountability. Self discipline uses the personality of your higher self as the manager of your thoughts and actions. And the person who the world interacts with (your self) reports to your higher self or your higher internal consciousness.
