I just wanted to share, the bookshelf design style that my three friends and I designed to put in the architectural study program room. This is the final project of the form aesthetics course. We were assigned to design a bookshelf, which is both aesthetic and rhythmic. Playing the theories we've learned in the studio together.
We make a bookshelf with the concept of a basic square shape, then the shape is repeated, and cut, so that there are small and large boxes that are separate but unified, between one another.
This shelf is used not only to store books, but also pictures of students' work or small mock-ups. The small box can be used to change paper that has been rolled round.
We made it, at one of our teammates' residences, before finally being taken to campus to be presented to our supervisor. We use thick plywood material, then paint it to make it durable.
