Gracias por tan excelente post, gracias por reseñarnos ese gran baluarte venezolano como lo es el urbanismo El Silencio. Por cierto, no era de mi conocimiento el motivo del nombre de este emblematico lugar caraqueño.

Si, el nombre original fue El Tartagal, por la cantidad de plantas de Tártago que había en ese lugar, pero después del informe que realizaron los inspectores del Cabildo de aquella época, ante la terrible epidemia que azotó a sus habitantes, en 1658, se le cambió el nombre. Resulta que esa comisión escribió en un acta lo que presenció:
