Our Champions for the Week:
(July 3 - 9, 2023)
Tony's Bikes is located on the popular Amador corner. On 26th Street at the end of Don Tulio Febres Cordero Avenue. Very close to the city's main tourist areas and with a beautiful view of the Sierra Nevada. Its façade gave life back to the ground floor of the old shopping center. We have a glass-walled façade and a roof covered with the colors of the Italian flag. On its side façade they have a small terrace with some metal tables for those who want to eat outdoors.
There is a large portal, along the entire exterior that has metal structures that adorn the facade with a series of very colorful red beams that serve as columns and are covered with silver metal slats that make them stand out more. The exterior walls are lilac or light purple and gray, and the floors are made of deep blue ceramic tiles that cover the base of the columns. All of this gives a very pleasant, striking and cheerful look to the large complex of stores.
The first thing that strikes the eye at first glance are the two large towers that rise gloriously in the sky of Lima, one of them houses the great bell tower, in fact we were lucky enough to hear it. It is also observed in these columns two balconies, two clocks which are not in operation and two sculptures of figures that frankly we could not recognize, but they are undoubtedly of a Catholic nature.

From this edition, the publication of the colleague @wilfredocav about the Macagua Dam caught my attention because, despite being from the country, I did not know that there was such a work of water containment architecture that in turn helps to generate electricity, no matter how much If such a dam is named on television, seeing it through photos and knowing its importance is much better because in this way I understand the history of its creation and its real magnitudes.
Thank you dear @ginethchira2301 for your lovely remarks! 😀
