Greetings Hive!
It's that time of the week again when we showcase celebrated posts about architecture and design - broadcasting from various locations around the world. As part of our weekly curation process, we gladly feature outstanding publications that align with our community's primary advocacy of elevating architecture and design with the Hive blockchain.
We are Architecture+Design, your dedicated Hive community covering digital content about Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Urban Design, and Environmental Design.
For this week's report, we're truly delighted to present to you our 49th Edition where our top 3 publications highlight the world's largest church in the Vatican City, an interesting green habitat in the United Arab Emirates, and a remarkable mall transformation in Ukraine.
Don't forget to also check out our "Runner-Up" entries for their remarkable contributions.
Our Champions for the Week:
(from November 22 - 28, 2021)
In order to access the inside of the basilica, you must first go through St. Peter's Square and stand in line. Fortunately, the day we went there were not many people so we decided to walk around the square and take some pictures. Once the opening of the basilica began, we approached the respective line to enter and during those minutes I admired the facade of the church that represents the Catholic religion. I understand that the double-story columns, as well as the design of the great dome, were the idea of Michelangelo Buonarroti, painter, sculptor, and architect with a strong Renaissance influence, and although these ideas were accepted by the final construction, many others were discarded.
There are also a couple of playgrounds for the kids to use. The one below can be seen right across the lake and is recently renovated as well. The Abu Dhabi Municipality has been consistently renovating children's playgrounds and amenities - most of them were closed last year at the peak of the lockdowns and as they reopen, most of them have been refurbished including this one in the Lake Park.
On the other side, we can see budding ideas for the future. There are two rectangle-shaped tables with chairs around them. It does look like a perfect spot for a sushi bar or a cafe, no? I think it is a great way for the mall to add more geometric shapes to match the new theme as well as continue growing their business by offering spaces to new caterers.
For the best experience in our community, kindly follow and adhere to our Community Rules (located at the Right Side of our webpage on desktop and at the About Tab on mobile) and our pinned Community Content Criteria post for more details. Likewise, take note of our Preferred Minimum Standard as this is a crucial requirement for publications to be qualified for our upvotes, reblogs, nominations for curations, etc.
We also highly encourage everyone within the Architecture+Design Community to actively interact, engage, and connect with other subscribed authors by commenting on their posts and by replying to their comments - inside and outside your own content.
Moreover, please be reminded that for comments and replies using other languages, the English language translation must also be included/provided with them. This would ensure that everyone on the Hive blockchain would fully understand the written messages, thus allowing participants to properly connect with the various conversations within our digital ecosystem. Social engagement is crucial because it's the driving life force that energizes our community.
Our extreme gratitude to all who faithfully contribute, patronize, and support the Architecture+Design Community! We are steadily thriving, evolving, growing, and we could not have accomplished it without you. Thank you very much!
