Like the title above, this time I want to invite you to visualize how beautiful nature is in North Sumatra. I understand why this café is the top search on the internet, especially for local residents of the city of Medan. After approaching the café, it was time for me to understand how beautiful this architecture made by humans with a touch of nature made by God is.
Sarune café, a café that is being talked about by many people because of its location not far from the city center of Berastagi and also only a 2 hour drive from the city center of Medan. If you know there is a cabbage monument in Berastagi, you have to turn right and not far from the monument, there is this beautiful and charming cafe. If you like the city of Berastagi, I think it's impossible for you not to know its location.
From here you might really like this place with its combination of nature and extraordinary architecture. Just imagine, this place is really aesthetic with an attractive layout, design and minimalist use of land space. Even though the sun didn't appear, it happened to rain when I visited. Sarune is very charming with the minimalist design they display. At first glance, it looks like Korean vibes in the middle of an area with strong traditions.
I'm starting to like some of the things that are changing in this area. As far as I know, 5 years ago, a place like this never existed, perhaps to change the atmosphere to be even crazier, especially since the city of Berastagi is a city that is visited by many tourists on holiday, whether local or international tourists. Berastagi is very changing and willing to accept developments over time. For example, there are several cafes like this with a modern touch.
The rain didn't deter me even from having fun at this café. This place is truly extraordinary from any angle. There are some renovations being done, so there are some places that cannot be used. Because it was raining, we decided to sit indoors. Don't worry, even though I was sitting indoors, I used an umbrella to take a little picture from the side of the café. It seemed that the clouds were also very dark. So, the air here is really very cold.
From where I took the photo, I also saw Mount Sinabung from here. Even though it is not clearly visible, it is Mount Sinabung which is still active. It's been almost 10 years, this area is still very alert to the situation of Mount Sinabung. There have been several times where hot lava has spewed, so that what used to be a mountain climbing area, now no one is allowed to climb.
Sarune café is full of plants that are well cared for. There are several remaining trees beside the café area, there are also several pots in front of the café. The pot is filled with more cacti and several succulents. The wooden shelves are brown and very fresh. Shaded by a roof that can protect plants from rain and excessive heat. This angle is also a favorite for visitors to take photos. One of the photo properties that is interesting and different, is proof that you have come here.
Indoor rooms are not provided with air conditioning, I think that would be very useless because Berastagi has clean and cold air because it is above 1300 meters above sea level. A place that is humid and located on top of a mountain is a high-value investment, especially if it has a view that can see Mount Sinabung from a close distance.
By the way, next to the café there are villas that can be rented, there is a private pool and it's really luxurious, like being in Bali, because you can swim while looking at Mount Sinabung which is still active. Even though it was very cold to swim, I thought it was a good thing to do. This villa seems very luxurious, I tried climbing the wall from the café next door. I am interested in one day being able to rent that villa to enjoy time with my family.
This café has a large courtyard, consisting of a yard full of lavender which blooms in the current rainy season. Because Berastagi is the highest city in this area, this place will be very easy to grow plants, flowers and plants like this. I really like lavender with its full purple color on each shoot. I even spent a lot of time just taking photos here. Of course, this adds to my love for this place which holds its own space in my heart.
Not an ordinary thing, there are many things that can be enjoyed in this place. One of the tourist destinations that is close to nature and also to your loved ones. You can bring your partner just to eat and see the view from the café. Not only that, the food here is also very delicious and quite acceptable to all groups.
There are several western and local menus. So there's no need to be afraid to order food, in fact there were lots of foreign tourists who came when I was there. They seem to really like this place which has more value. Maybe I'll come again. I think I really like their pizza menu which has extraordinary taste. Sarune Café is suitable for those of you who are young at heart!

Sometimes people like places that are from other countries, but sometimes they ignore certain places that are in their own cities.
However, I assure you one thing, if I lived there, that cafe would be a place I would visit very often, it looks ideal to relax, enjoy the scenery and even sit and write while enjoying the place and the surroundings. It is beautiful here.

I love the nature that surrounds the place, the landscape is amazing. I really liked that lavender garden, I think I would stay there for a while too. The cafe has a very nice interior design.

I know this cafe, it's very comfortable to be in this cafe. If the weather is sunny we can enjoy a cup of coffee with a view of Mount Sinabung. I remember what you said that the rooms here don't need air conditioning. One day I was staying at a hotel I asked for our room to have AC. It turned out there wasn't, I was annoyed. It turned out that after that night I was shivering with cold. I just found out that this place doesn't need air conditioning.
The wind is so fresh that you don't need air conditioning, right?

Wow! what a nice environment, besides enjoying a delicious coffee this restaurant offers the option to admire the wonders of nature, I think I would spend many hours in that place, the atmosphere looks nice and cozy.
