Hello friends lovers of architecture and design, I hope you are enjoying good health, together with your loved ones, I am happy to share with you again, in recent weeks I have been busy with the sewing course and the development of Christmas dolls, a very beautiful project in which we are working with classmates; during an outing to the castle, the largest fabric store in the city I observed in detail the Alí Primera square, which is located on Avenida Nueva Toledo intersection with the Panamericana, this route is covered by buses and transport lines that go to the center, I have seen many times this square but I had never detailed and observed it closely, I knew it was decorated with musical instruments that identify the Venezuelan singer and composer Alí Primera, but only up to that point
On this occasion I had the opportunity to observe well the square and noticed that it has a beautiful mural painted on the floor in which you can see two maracas painted with the Venezuelan Tricolor these are part of the instruments of the traditional music of Venezuela as is the Joropo which accompany the harp and cuatro creating a beautiful and joyful melody; The singer Alí Primera stood out for his genre of music that combines folkloric elements with a very particular style, there is also a cuatro and many sunflower flowers, in this mural the colors are very bright and attractive, on the side walls there are also paintings of flowers and on the front wall the face of the singer and some cursive letters that identify the square, very close to this square is located a very busy bus stop that gives access to the most populated sectors of the city.
The square pays homage to this outstanding artist, in it are the main musical instruments used by the singer in his interpretations; the maracas are located on one of the side walls, they were built with wood (the base) and cement (sphere), the guitar is located on a rectangular base and on the sides has concrete benches where people can rest, very close to the maracas there are also benches for the family and passersby to rest, the best times to visit is in the early morning, the hours of sunset and evening.
Another instrument that adorns the square is the drum (which is part of the traditional Christmas music "Gaita") and is located on the front wall, the guitar is located on a square pedestal.
The cuatro is the central instrument of the plaza, it rests on a square base of reinforced concrete with benches around it; The music of the singer Ali Primera fused several instruments that belong to the traditional Venezuelan Joropo music and to the traditional Christmas music creating a contagious rhythm, the plaza has a semi-circular shape, the floor is made of concrete with a design of rectangles similar to bricks, most of the instruments are made of cabilla and concrete, They look very realistic and in spite of the years that the square has the instruments are preserved in good condition except for the drum which was detached from the top, but in general the square looks very good and in the Christmas season it is decorated with beautiful lights and trees, which add a beautiful contrast of colors.
Getting to know this plaza and seeing its details and musical instruments up close was very exciting, although I already knew the location of this plaza, I had never stopped to observe how it was totally, I thank a very kind worker for his time and the information he gave me about the plaza and the construction of the instruments, he made a pause in his cleaning day to answer my questions. So much for my visit to the Plaza Alí Primera in Cumaná, which pays homage to a great Venezuelan artist, whose first name is Ely Rafael Primera Rosell.
Blessings!
¡Bendiciones!

Hi @maytom, the mural is very beautiful and eye catching the vibrant colors make it look very real, just as you point out, I think it is center of attraction of the square besides the instruments.
