Hello friends lovers of architecture and design I wish you are enjoying good health and have an excellent weekend in union with your loved ones, we are in the last day of February and we start the first quarter of the year 2025 I find it amazing that we are about to start a new month, with great expectations and goals to meet, this time I share a new architectural design of Bolivar state, as I mentioned in other publications, I had the opportunity to travel to this state, to know and visit outstanding places of this beautiful region of the country, it is the largest state of Venezuela in terms of its territorial extension and houses in its space incredible natural beauties, including the Orinoco River, Caroni, Caura, also outstanding architectural constructions such as the two bridges over the Orinoco River, impressive buildings and monuments that honor the natural resources, minerals and important sites of this beautiful and extensive state, located in the south of the country.
I invite you to accompany me to know and visit Plaza la Coroba, located on Troncal 12 between Calle Rincón and Calle Anzoátegui in Caicara del Orinoco (capital of the Cedeño municipality) Coroba, is the typical fruit of this municipality with which various and delicious recipes are made, to honor this delicious fruit that is only grown in this area of the country, a beautiful monument was built where this curious and delicious fruit can be seen, the tree is a palm tree and the Coroba grows in clusters, it is green on the outside, yellow on the inside, it is protected by a shell and on top of it another shell that forms a kind of cap, after peeling it and extracting the pulp, the seed remains where a delicious almond is housed. To taste the almond, place the seed in the sun for several days, break it with a stone and you can taste the almond, in the months of August and September it is the harvest season, when the fruit matures, its shell becomes turns brown with yellow.
Hola amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan un excelente fin de semana en unión de sus seres queridos, estamos en el último día del mes de febrero y damos inicio al primer trimestre del año 2025 me parece increíble que ya estamos por iniciar un nuevo mes, con grandes expectativas y metas por cumplir, en esta ocasión les comparto un nuevo diseño arquitectónico del estado Bolívar, como he mencionado en otras publicaciones, tuve la oportunidad de viajar a este estado, conocer y visitar destacados lugares de esta hermosa región del país, es el estado más grande de Venezuela en cuanto a su extensión territorial y alberga en su espacio increíbles bellezas naturales, entre ellas el río Orinoco, Caroní, Caura, también destacadas construcciones arquitectónicas como los dos puentes sobre el río Orinoco, impresionantes edificios y monumentos que honran los recursos naturales, minerales y sitios importantes de este lindo y extenso estado, ubicado en el sur del país.
Les invito me acompañen a conocer y visitar plaza la Coroba, ubicada en la Troncal 12 entre calle Rincón y calle Anzoátegui de Caicara del Orinoco (capital del municipio Cedeño) la Coroba, es el fruto típico de este municipio con la cual se elaboran variadas y deliciosas recetas, para honrar este delicioso fruto que solo se cultiva en esta zona del país, se construyó un hermoso monumento donde se observa esta curiosa y deliciosa fruta, el árbol es una palmera y la Coroba crece en racimos, es de color verde por fuera, amarillo en la parte interna, está protegida por una concha y encima de ella otra cáscara que forma una especie de gorro, luego de pelarla y extraer la pulpa, queda la semilla donde se aloja una deliciosa almendra, para degustar la almendra se pone la semilla por varios días al sol, se rompe con una piedra y podrás saborear la almendra, en los meses de agosto y septiembre es la temporada de cosecha, cuando el fruto madura,su concha se torna de color marrón con amarillo.
The monument, as I already mentioned, is located in the town of Caicara very close to Puerto Chalana in front of the Orinoco River. If you go to this town through the Guárico state, when you cross the river and reach Puerto de Chalana you can see the monument, located a few meters from the river in a small vial and rests on a concrete base covered with stone, the monument is made with sheets of steel, the artist in charge of this work definitely did a great job, because the monument looks like a giant real Coroba, it has The shape of the fruit and every detail in the shell, in the shell at the top and especially the colors demonstrate the great talent and dedication that was put into this beautiful sculpture.
The view of the river from this point is beautiful, you can see an old restaurant, located at the entrance to the city through the Chalana port, the abundant vegetation that borders the river, part of the mountain of the town of Cabruta and the beautiful landscape that characterizes the Orinoco River, the base of the sculpture has a triangular shape, covered with stones of different colors, among them; beige, gray brown and black stones that add a country style to the base of the sculpture and goes very well with the environment, the vial has grass throughout its entire length, moving forward, we can once again appreciate a view of the river, the beautiful clouds in the sky, which contrast with the landscape and reflect the intensity of the sun, since my visit was in the afternoon.
El monumento, como ya lo mencioné se encuentra ubicado en la población de Caicara muy cerca de puerto Chalana al frente del río Orinoco, si te diriges a esta población por el estado Guárico, al cruzar el río y llegar a Puerto de chalana puedes ver el monumento, ubicado a pocos metros del río en una pequeña redoma y descansa en una base de concreto cubierta con piedra, el monumento está hecho con láminas de acero, el artista encargado de esta obra definitivamente hizo un gran trabajo, pues el monumento parece una Coroba real gigante, tiene la forma de la fruta y cada detalle en la concha, en la cáscara de la parte superior y especialmente los colores demuestran el gran talento y dedicación que le pusieron a esta hermosa escultura.
La vista del río desde este punto es hermosa, se observa un antiguo restaurante, ubicado en la entrada de la ciudad por el puerto Chalana, la abundante vegetación que bordea el río, parte de la montaña de la población de Cabruta y el hermoso paisaje que caracteriza al río Orinoco, la base de la escultura tiene forma triangular, cubierta con piedras de diferentes colores, entre estos; beige, marrón gris y piedras negras que agregan un estilo campestre a la base de la escultura y va muy bien con el entorno, la redoma tiene grama en toda su extensión, avanzando, nuevamente podemos apreciar una vista del río, las hermosas nubes en el cielo, que contrastan con el paisaje y reflejan la intensidad del sol, ya que mi visita fue en horas de la tarde.
Observing the sculpture from the back, you can see its pointed black finish, also the sheets placed in a circular shape, closer to the front we see the shape of the cap in the central part very similar to a hexagon, with black and green circles, in this part the shells that protrude from the center are gray with a black edge, in the last photograph we have a complete view of the shells that form the Coroba cap, these are triangular in shape and their color is grayish with black edges, from this side you can fully appreciate the shape and structure of this delicious fruit.
Visiting this square for the second time was a great adventure on a sunny day, which I did in the company of my son, we took a short tour and although the sun was intense, it was not an impediment to observing this beautiful sculpture, I liked its design, the surroundings and spectacular view of the river, according to information from a resident with whom I was able to talk, he explained to me that its creation is attributed to the great artist Audilio, although there is no record as such, or at least he does not know it, it is presumed that this prominent artist was the author, since his style coincides with several works that he has made, such as the Diamante phial, sculpture by Manuel Cedeño, among others made by this prominent artist of the municipality, after talking with the man, we walked for a while along the river bank, took photos and rested under a leafy tree, very close to the town hall.
Observando la escultura desde el posterior, se aprecia su terminación puntiaguda de color negro, también las láminas colocadas en forma circular, más de cerca en la parte delantera observamos la forma del gorro en la parte central muy similar a un hexágono, con círculos de color negro y verde, en esta parte las conchas que sobresalen del centro son de color gris con el borde negro, en la última fotografía tenemos una vista completa de las conchas que forman el gorro de la Coroba, estas tienen forma triangular y su color es grisáceo con los bordes negros, desde este lado se puede apreciar completamente la forma y estructura de esta deliciosa fruta.
Visitar esta plaza por segunda vez fue una gran aventura en un día soleado, que realicé en compañía de mi hijo, hicimos un pequeño recorrido y aunque el sol estaba intenso, no fue impedimento para observar esta hermosa escultura, me gustó su diseño, el entorno y espectacular vista del río, según información de un residente con quién pude conversar, me explicó que su creación se le atribuye al gran artista Audilio, aunque no hay un registro como tal, o al menos él no lo conoce, se presume que fue este destacado artista el autor, ya que, su estilo coincide con varias obras que ha realizado, como la redoma el Diamante, escultura de Manuel Cedeño, entre otras hechas por este destacado artista del municipio, luego de conversar con el señor, caminamos un rato por la orilla del río, tomamos fotos y descansamos debajo de un frondoso árbol, muy cerca de la alcaldía.

What an oddity that sculpture and without reading I didn't think it was a fruit and then I said to myself woww, it's great, plus the way it's made in slices I love it. The view of the river is amazing!
