Hello, how are you? This is the first time I do something for this community, so I would like to share with you an emblematic place of my city, Valencia, in Venezuela, it is the beautiful cathedral. On January 6th is celebrated worldwide, in the Christian community, the day of the wise men, it is a holiday and usually children receive gifts from “the wise men” I went to my sister's house to visit her and also to go to mass at the cathedral, She was waiting for me with a delicious breakfast with elements of Christmas gastronomy, (normally we eat the typical Christmas dish until mid January) and I was very excited because I really had a long time without going to the historic center of the city and especially the cathedral, so I invite you to know it.
Its full name is Basilica Catedral Nuestra Señora del Socorro and it has undergone many renovations throughout its history, the most recent being in 2015. This temple is very important for all of us Valencians, as it is a great religious, cultural and historical icon, it is also the ideal reference for any address “behind the cathedral” “next to the cathedral” The church has been there since the founding of the city in 1555 but obviously back then it was much smaller. The current facade is very imposing and has those beautiful pillars that give it a palace look, plus several balconies and three huge doors, although the doors on the left and right are always open, the central one is never opened, it is composed of a central body with three divisions. It has two symmetrical or twinned towers that measure 27 m approximately, of four sections, topped by a dome with lanterns. There is a clock with four dials in the south tower.
The temple has a colonial design but very baroque style, it can be noticed in its numerous ornamental details, it has three naves that are separated by Corinthian columns that support beautiful arches, it has always called my attention that the ceiling of the central nave is higher than the side ones, and before reaching the dome of the great altar there is a beautiful relief that represents a pair of angels holding a crown, and above them is a dove that for us Christians represents the holy spirit.
I love that there is a part where we can see the material that the walls of the cathedral are made of along with a legend that says that they were made with the technique of the Venezuelan Hispanic period, that is to say with an amalgam of stones, bricks and adobe and have a diameter of between one and one and a half meters thick, which obviously makes the temple very resistant, in fact, I understand that, although thank God, Venezuela is not a seismic country, throughout history there have been some earthquakes that have shaken some cities, including Valencia, and yet the physical integrity of the church has never been affected.
The chandeliers have an exquisite taste as if I am not wrong they are made of Bohemian crystal and Baccarat, which gives it a subtle elegance and reinforces that concept of palace.
Above the main altar there is a dome whose dome rests on the four arches and has four windows with stained glass windows that, if I am not mistaken, were made by renowned artists of the nineteenth century.
It really is an impressive temple in its wealth of details, as you have noticed, and due to the mass I could not take as many pictures as I would have liked, but it also has chapels on the sides that are dedicated to various icons of the Catholic Church, such as the Virgin of Coromoto, the Virgin of Socorro and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Thank you very much to all of you for your attention, see you another time, I send blessings to all of you.

This amazing tour of Velecia city with its amazing structures gave us a chance to see different beauty. The facade of the building however is divided into two colors. But the interior designs are very beautiful and a place to visit. Thank you so much for sharing the endless joy of your travels with all of us along with the beautiful photography of this amazing architecture.
Yes, I have always had two colors, white and pale yellow, or beige and white, I like it a lot, the interior is even prettier. Thank you very much for reading and commenting

Thanks
Hi @carmen1659, the facade of the cathedral has a nice design, I liked the columns on the sides of the doors and the windows with balcony, I had time without seeing this type of windows, they are characteristic of the colonial era, thanks for sharing your visit.
Greetings!
Thank you very much for your comment, the truth is that I also really like that style
