Hello lovers of Architecture + Design, today I bring you a little bit of the Hatillo, 8 years ago I bought a land in a beautiful rural area in the Hatillo called La Union, an area of agricultural production, a place full of greenery and pure life, this is where we are starting the construction of the Ecovillage VIDA VERDE ideal place for nature lovers, from there we will promote even more ecological awareness through EcoTourism but today I want to show you part of the tourism potential that has the Municipality El Hatillo that stands out for its colonial architecture.
El Hatillo is located on the outskirts of the Capital City of Caracas, it is part of the so-called Gran Caracas, at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level, a mountainous area of tropical rainforest, which makes it an attractive place for its climate and greenery.
Its main attraction is the historic center of the town of El Hatillo, where it has maintained this beautiful colonial architecture very striking houses with narrow but deep faults, large windows and wooden doors, houses painted with bright colors with their red roofs houses over 200 years old.
The small church of the town of Hatillo is one of its unmissable, this beautiful and colorful church called Santa Rosade Palermo was built in 1784, next to the birth of the town of Hatillo and despite not being a large structure, you can say that it is a small replica of the large churches that we are used to seeing with its tower, bell tower and a beautiful arched entrance to welcome their ferigreses.
This church has been maintained over time thanks to the maintenance and conservation work that is constantly carried out on it. And this time it is also dressed in colors, which can be admired at night, where the church is illuminated to highlight even more its architectural beauty of the time.
The Historical Center not only maintains its architecture but also maintains its essence, in it you can observe families and visitors enjoying the Plaza Bolivar del Hatillo and sometimes enjoy horseback riding around it, every weekend there are events for the enjoyment of those who visit the historical center.
The colonial houses of the old town have become the gastromonical spaces of the municipality and this has made the town even more alive and colorful, especially on the weekends.
In the Hatillanos there is also a particular passion for the old vintage and that also includes the classic vehicles, which you see them constantly on the streets and for me are part of this beautiful landscape of colorful design that characterizes it.
A Colorful Colonial House next to an Antique Car is undoubtedly part of a great design very well thought out to attract more tourists to Hatillo, but without a doubt the biggest exhivision is to see these cars rolling through the streets as their owners use them daily.
Hatillo is growing more and more as a tourist town that stands out for its Colonial Architecture and we hope to soon be part of this with our GREEN LIFE PROJECT where you can visit our first GREEN HOME, Casa Container and stay in one of the 3 cabins that we will build all this within an EcoTourism concept.
Surely many will want to enjoy is a lovely cabins to stay on weekends in the middle of the nature of the mountain hatillana. Soon I will tell you more about this beautiful project that we are devising for now we continue to enjoy the Hatillo and its beauty, nature and flavors.

The lights in the church at night make the church look more beautiful. Everyone who passes by will remember this church
Hi @titisnariyah. Yes, the lights embellish this church. As you say, it looks really lovely!
This is my kind of place to visit, it makes me feel at home.
How wonderful! The Philippines is a dream. I love that you feel at home in the middle of this colorful tour in El Hatillo. Greetings from Venezuela
El Hatillo has always been characterized for being different in the aspects you mention, it even seems to be a totally separate state from its surroundings (Miranda and Caracas). It is magical, colonial, attractive and with those natural mountainous spaces that surround it 💛
It is a magical place that stands out for its environment, its people and the insistence and care to maintain and enhance its original architecture.
But in Caracas there are other colonial spaces that also stand out and are worth knowing, where there are also buildings of great history of colonial architecture such as La Pastora, Sarria and the center of Caracas especially in the Altagracia parish and in Miranda is the Casco Historiaco of Petare. All are part of the great Caracas and surely there are more hidden corners in Miranda that I do not know. But without a doubt that Hatillano love makes the difference because they understand the cultural and touristic potential that we have.
