Hello friends, today I will show you one of the most beautiful monasteries in Bulgaria, namely the Bachkovo Monastery. The monastery was created in the mountain deliberately with the aim of its difficult capture during the war. It is surrounded by three high peaks in the mountain. It is strategically located on the the high place in the area, leaving it with a single entrance, it remains difficult to capture to this day. During the Turkish slavery, the monastery was partially destroyed. Later it was restored and reconstructed in its original form.

It is located deep in the Rhodope Mountains. The monastery is more than 900 years old. When you visit it, prepare to go back 9 centuries in time. The monastery is located on a high hill in the Rhodope Mountains. It consists of several smaller temples, the main church and the monastic part where the monks live. It is built mainly of natural stone and wood.

Well maintained and renovated, while preserving its ancient architecture. As soon as we cross the threshold, we are greeted by this massive lamp. It is made of copper and steel. Its masterful craftsmanship cannot be missed.
Добре поддържан и реновиран, като същевременно е запазена старинната му архитектура.Още с прекрачването на прага ни посреща този масивен светилник.Изработен е от мед и стомана.Майсторската му ръчна изработка не може да бъде подмината.
The monastery has several rooms for liturgies, which turned out to be quite cozy, bright and modern to my surprise, considering how old this building is. And here notice the emphasis is mainly on natural materials such as stone and wood.
Манастира разполага с няколко зали за литургии, които се оказаха доста уютни,светли и модерни за мое учудване имайки в предвид колко стара е тази сграда.И тук забележете е наблегнато главно на естествените материали като камък и дърво.

Една от многото чешми из двора на манастира.Поредното произведение на изкуството.Отново камък, мрамор и метал.
Each figure of the fountain has its own symbolism. The dove symbolizes peace, love, hope and faith. The fish is associated with the rebirth of the soul and the power of water, and water as we know is life. The figure of the hand symbolizes God's presence in this holy place. Everyone has choice of where to drink.
Всяка фигура от чешмата има своята символика.Гълъбът символизира мирът, любовта, надеждата и вярата.Рибата се свързва със прераждането на душата и силата на водата,а водата както знаем е живота.Фигурата на ръката символизира божието присъствие на това свято място.Всеки има избор от къде да отпие.
Here are the monastic premises, where the monks have lived for many years. As you can see from the photos, wood is the main element of their construction.
Ето и монашеските помещения , където монасите живеят от дълги години.Както се вижда от снимките дървото е главен елемент от изграждането им.
And now we will peek into the main church of the monastery to show you the hand-painted icons and murals on the ceilings and walls of the church. Huge, heavy and impressive lanterns and chandeliers descend from the ceilings.
А сега ще надникнем във главната църква на манастира за да ви покажа ръчно изрисуваните икони и стенописи по таваните и стените на църквата.От таваните се спускат огромни,тежки и впечатляващи светилници и полюлей.
It's like I'm in a museum, not an Orthodox temple. Every centimeter is hand-painted and shows a different part of the biblical story. Whatever I say will be little for this impressive human creation. High altars with richly decorated gold ornaments.
Сякаш се намирам във музей,а не във православен храм.Всеки сантиметър е изрисуван ръчно и показва различна част от библейската история.Каквото и да кажа ще е малко за това впечатляващо човешко творение.Високи олтари с богато украсени златни орнаменти.
In the past, the monastery was inhabited by hundreds of monks who took care of all the people who built here. Today, there are very few people living here, but from what I saw, they definitely know how to manage and preserve their bequest.
В миналото манастира е бил обитаван от стотици монаси, които са се грижели за всичките построики тук.Днес живущите тук са много по малко,но по това което видях определено знаят как да стопанисват и запазят завещаното им.
The inner feeling of peace and harmony in the temples completely coincides with the beautiful gardens, flowers and trees that are located in the courtyard of the monastery.
Вътрешното усещане за мир и хармония във храмовете напълно съвпадат с красивите градини,цветя и дървета които се намират в двора на манастира.
I can't say that I liked the rush of people here. But this is a temple of God and many believers and pilgrims come. Right next to the monastery are the beautiful Bachkovo waterfalls. It's as if God's intervention is in every centimeter here.
Не мога да кажа че ми хареса навалицата от хора тук.Но това е божи храм и идват найстина много вярващи и поклонници.Точно до манастира се намират и красивите Бачковски водопади.Сякаш във всеки сантиметър тук има божия намеса.

very nice monastery. Even though it has been built for a long time, it is still sturdy.
That areal view of the monastery is amazing! It is very noticeable because of its color.
