New technologies have brought many changes in people's lifestyles. We have been impacted in all aspects of our social behavior, and one of these issues has been the change of the traditional reading method, or as my Spanish-literature teacher from my elementary school used to say: enjoying a trip with a book in hand.
Digital books are increasingly used, and even, as we all know, there is already technological equipment to make this form of reading more enjoyable. That's why the place I describe below was very peculiar to me, because I had already forgotten how much I enjoy an afternoon in a library.

Nos hemos visto impactados en todos los aspectos de nuestro comportamiento social, y uno de estas cuestiones ha sido el cambio del método de lectura tradicional, o como decía mi profesora de español- literatura de mi etapa de estudios primarios: disfrutar de un viaje con el libro en la mano.
Los libros digitales cada vez son más usados, e incluso, como todos sabemos, ya existe equipamiento tecnológico para que esta forma de lectura sea más amena. Por eso, el lugar que les describo a continuación me resultó muy peculiar, porque ya había olvidado cuánto disfruto de una tarde en una biblioteca.
The library is called Sierra Maestra, and it is located on 11th Street, between Paseo and A, in the Vedado district of Havana. The building has a very nice structure, and it has two floors. Its exterior walls are painted in a cream color, which gives the idea of calm, ideal for this kind of spaces that require tranquility and concentration.
On the second floor the furniture consists of large gray armchairs and triangular-shaped sofas in yellow damask. The whole space has very good lighting. It also has very close to the walls, desks with computers that have a wealth of valuable information, in addition to the Internet connection.
La biblioteca se llama Sierra Maestra, y está ubicada en la calle 11, entre Paseo y A, en el reparto Vedado de la ciudad de La Habana. La edificación tiene una estructura muy bonita, y es de dos plantas. Sus paredes exteriores están pintadas de un color crema, lo que ofrece la idea de calma, ideal para este tipo de espacios que requieren de tranquilidad y concentración.
En la primera planta el mobiliario está conformado por grandes butacas de color gris, y sofas en forma triangular de un damasco amarillo. Todo el espacio tiene muy buena iluminación. Tiene además muy cerca de las paredes, escritorios con computadoras que poseen un cúmulo de información muy valiosa, además de la conexión a Internet.
Of the whole place, what I liked the most was its spiral wall. The railing is metallic with a silvery sheen. Of the rest of the elements, the wood stands out, which, as I always say, is one of my favorite elements in interior design. The steps of the stairs are protected with wood. The most interesting thing, in my opinion, is that on the other side there is a piece that imitates a huge bookcase, and even has the spines of books carved in wood. I thought this decorative element was the coolest thing about the whole place.
De todo el lugar, lo que más me gustó fue su pared en forma de caracol o espiral. La baranda es metálica con un brillo plateado. Del resto de elementos destaca la madera, que como siempre digo, es uno de mis elementos preferidos en la diseño de interiores. Los peldaños de las escaleras están protegidos con madera. Lo más interesante, desde mi opinión, es que del otro lado hay una pieza que imita a un enorme librero, e incluso, posee los lomos de libros tallados en madera. Este elemento decorativo me pareció lo más genial de todo el sitio.
The second floor was much quieter than the first floor, and since all the doors are open, the breeze that blows is very delicious. I was looking for a recommendation of a book to read in my leisure time, because despite having an excellent collection of digital literature; I am still a lover of the book that I can browse with my hands.
In that floor also predominates the wood in the decoration, and the natural lighting is excellent. As soon as you enter this floor, the first thing you notice is a large mural that covers the entire wall, made up of wooden pictures arranged one after the other, forming adjectives and delimited by stars.
La segunda planta me resultó mucha más tranquila que la primera, y como todas las puertas están abiertas, la brisa que sopla es muy deliciosa. Yo estaba buscando una recomendación de un libro para leer en mis ratos de ocio, porque a pesar de tener una colección excelente de literatura digital; sigo siendo amante de el libro que puedo hojear con mis manos.
En ese piso también predomina la madera en la decoración, y la iluminación natural es excelente. En cuanto se accede a esa planta, lo primero que se observa es un gran mural que abarca toda esa pared, conformado por cuadros de madera dispuestos uno a continuación de otro, que forman adjetivos y están delimitados por estrellas.
The books are placed on large shelves. They have as an element out of the traditional that these shelves are limited by glass doors. I must admit that, although the finish of this furniture is very good, I missed the large shelves of yesteryear, where one could choose the desired work more easily.
In the middle of this room there is a large table with movable chairs, and in the middle some white desk lamps that provide excellent lighting.
Los libros están colocados en grandes . Tienen como elemento fuera de lo tradicional que dichos estantes están limitadas por puertas de cristal. Debo admitir, que a pesar de que el estado de terminación de este mobiliario es muy bueno, extrañé los grandes estantes de antaño, donde uno podía escoger la obra deseada con mayor facilidad.
En medio de este salón hay una extensa mesa con sillas móviles, y en medio unas lámparas de escritorio blancas que brindan una iluminación excelente.
The second floor also has a very cozy outdoor area. The view of the city is beautiful.
En el segundo piso también tiene un área exterior muy acogedora. La vista que se observa de la ciudad es preciosa.

This is definitely one of the most elegant libraries I've ever seen @indipnash91. Despite the unprecedented popularity of digital books, I'm glad that there are still people who spend their precious time in these traditional institutions. I love its calm, soothing, and contemporary architecture - vital elements needed for the seamless reading and learning experiences of patrons. Impressive! ☺️

What I liked most about this place was the calmness it transmitted to me; nowadays we are exposed to too many external stimuli and sometimes it is difficult to find concentration for too long.
