Whenever someone asks me to recommend a good place to enjoy Havana's nightlife, one of the first places that come to my mind is the Habana Café nightclub. This is an emblematic place in the city, because although it was closed for a long time due to the Covid 19 pandemic, it was always a place where the most popular orchestras in the country performed.
This place is located on the second floor of the Meliá Cohiba Hotel, at the intersection of Paseo Avenue and 3rd Street in Vedado. Currently, the country's most virtuoso musicians, who defend jazz as a musical genre, perform there.
Siempre que alguien me pide que le recomiende un buen sitio para disfrutar de la vida nocturna de La Habana, de los primeros lugares que llegan a mi mente está el centro nocturno Habana Café. Este es un sitio emblemático de la ciudad, pues aunque estuvo cerrado durante muchísimo tiempo a raíz de la pandemia Covid 19, siempre fue lugar de presentación de las orquestas más populares del país.
Este sitio se encuentra ubicado en el primer piso del hotel Meliá Cohiba, en la intersección de la avenida Paseo y la calle 3ra del Vedado. Actualmente se presentan allí los músicos más virtuosos del país, que defienden el jazz como género musical.

I have always had the feeling that this place is like a great reservoir of antiques, because it is decorated with some very colorful classic cars, which the founding workers of the hotel say were once circulating in the streets. These elements are of great admiration for all the people that make tourism in the city, because they remind them of the cars that they can see daily driving along the Malecón, and in which they can even make tourist tours. There is even an old fuel pump.
Pero en mi opinión, además del entretenimiento que ofrece, lo que más me impacta de este sitio es su diseño interior, y creo que no soy la única que se sorprende con el mismo. Considero que mezcla, de forma magistral, muchos de los elementos identitarios de la cultura cubana, así que hay me complace mostrarle en fotos un poco de este centro nocturno.
Yo siempre he tenido la sensación de que este lugar es como un gran reservorio de antigüedades, debido a que tiene como decoración algunos autos clásicos muy vistosos, que cuentan los trabajadores fundadores del hotel que antaño estuvieron circulando por las calles. Estos elementos son de gran admiración por todas las personas que hacen turismo en la ciudad, porque les recuerda a los coches que pueden ver a diario transitando por el Malecón, y en los que incluso pueden hacer recorridos turísticos. Incluso, hay una bomba de combustible antigua.

In that area you can also enjoy a photo taken from an aerial perspective of Havana at night, full of lights. In addition, there are images of some important cultural personalities.
Una de las cosas más curiosas que tiene la ambientación del Habana Café, es que en uno de sus laterales tiene la maqueta de la fachada del hotel donde está enclavado. Este edificio es muy singular, a pesar de no ser tan moderno, porque no tiene un diseño similar al resto de los inmuebles de gran altura que se han construido en la capital.

To access the place there are two ways, one directly from the outside, for people who are not staying at the hotel, and another after entering the hotel lobby, which is designed for guests staying at the hotel. If you enter through the second one, you will find a red upholstered barber's chair at the entrance.
You can also find other antique elements such as showcases with decorative elements.
En el centro del salón está colgado un enorme avión decorativo de color blanco, que en uno de sus laterales tiene plasmado que pertenece a línea aérea Cubana de Aviación.
Para acceder al lugar existen dos vías, una directamente desde el exterior, para las personas que no están hospedadas en el hotel; y otra luego de entrar al lobby del hotel, la cual está diseñada para clientes alojados. Si se accede por esta segunda, se pueden encontrar en su entrada una sillón de barbero, tapizado de color rojo.
También se pueden encontrar otros elementos antiguos como son vitrinas con elementos decorativos.
