Hello everyone. Today I want to share a bit of the elegant beauty of the Palacio de Bellas Artes de Medellín, in La Candelaria, Antoquia, Colombia. This is an almost sacred place for music, since it functions as a very important institute in the area and has many rooms equipped for the study of orchestral instruments, rooms for choirs and even a concert hall that seems small, but accepts a good amount of people in their seats as you will see in the photographs that I will show you later. I visited this small palace dedicated to the arts on Friday, August 2nd of this year during my visit to my brother country.
As you can see in these first two pictures, it is a little complicated to take pictures of the facade. In the first one there are a couple of very leafy trees and if I move a little further away there is a third even bigger tree across the entire entrance, but this is the main avenue and the most direct access to the musical area of the concert hall and study rooms. The second photo is to the right of the building and is more administrative, since the Institute of Fine Arts and a more modest entrance is located there, although it was there where I passed the first time. It is very impressive to see it in person even though it is in an area where you cannot see everything from a distance.
These three pictures above show the main area that the normal public can appreciate, as it is outside the studio spaces and before entering the concert hall. In them you can see a small conference room in the first picture with a decorative harp in one corner and in the second picture a small recital room where they have a central electronic keyboard, a grand piano and an upright piano on the right wall. The wood color of the floor matches perfectly with half of the walls and the chairs and contrasts with white and a green on the walls, which although they look nice make the place look a bit dark, but that doesn't bother us musicians 😅
The two images above are of the concert hall of the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Medellín, and its name is Sala Beethoven, beautiful for music lovers like me. The stage has beautiful golden curtains that contrast perfectly with the play of yellow lights and the yellow pillars in the four corners. I didn't take good pictures of the busts in the background, they came out too dark, but one of them is of the musician Oreste Síndici, composer of the Colombian National Anthem. Although the lighting was on, it is hardly noticeable that the seats are wood-colored and the carpet is vinotinto. The stage does have white lights that highlights the colors and illuminates the artists and their costumes, and no matter how dark the audience may look, the sound here is of great quality and reaches every corner of the room, in fact this has been one of the best acoustics that I have been able to appreciate in my life. I say goodbye by sharing some pictures I took of my colleagues who were in a lyrical singing competition in this emblematic palace.

Wow, what a majestic building! Although decent in size, it still radiates with an architectural grandeur due to the musical prestige it embodies, reflected in the various spaces that serve this creative art. I'm pretty sure it was a heavenly experience for you because this special environment energized your passionate talents. ☺️
Thanks for Elevating Architecture and Design with Hive!
Hello brother, thank you very much. As a musician I really enjoyed this place in Colombia, in fact I would have liked to take pictures of the other rooms, but it was little time to explore. Thank you very much for your valuable support, I like this community very much, I hope to continue knowing places that I can share here 🙏
It's said that architecture is frozen music while music is liquid architecture. Either way, this marvelous palace is certainly a design treat that musical artists like you would enjoy. Impressive feature! ☺️

Thank you very much for giving me that phrase, I loved it, and it is precisely the music that invites me to know so many places, theaters, museums, churches and trips, it is a beautiful life and I am very grateful, I was not an architect, but a spectator ❤️
It is a wonderful building, well thought out all its details, even the darkness in the audience plays an important role in the architecture and design, notice that it is very clear on the stage. I don't know the results of the competition, I hope they came out winners, or your wife winner. Regards
Saludos @jesuslnrs 🥰
Hola amiga! Hey that yes, in the escenario everything looks clear and even the sound travels well in the room, it is also due to the wonderful set of lights, I forgot to talk about it in the post. Thank you very much for your words, if you have time I would like you to watch a video I shared in my Music community post today 😘
Con gustó amigo 😉😊

It is a very special place for musicians, no doubt about it, and very elegant. Thanks to you for visiting and commenting...
Thanks bro, it is a pleasure for me to read and greet you. This place in Medellin was one of my favorites. You didn't even know I went to Colombia at the time hahaha. I don't know where you are located anyway...
