An example in social transformation

Hello friends, welcome to my blog, today I am going to take you to one of the most spectacular places in the city, as you read in the title, it is Comuna 13, a place that has undergone a complete transformation, it is a very beautiful place.

The first thing we have to do to go to the commune is to get to a station on the main metro line. When we get there, we go to the San Antonio station to be able to make the transfer to the San Javier station.

When we arrive at the San Antonio station, we go up to the second floor to take the train that takes us to the San Javier station and we don't have to pay more tickets, with the first one you pay you can ride the entire metro system.

Commune 13 was initially inhabited by peasants displaced by the war in rural Colombia, located in the hills west of Medellin, that area became the perfect place for drug trafficking during the 1980s due to its difficult access and its many alleys.

In 2002 the Colombian state decided to retake control over commune 13, through several very violent military interventions, which affected both the paramilitaries and the population with many deaths and disappearances.

The development of tourism was the main engine of change in commune 13, commune 13 is art at its best, the new generations have replaced weapons with spray paint, each piece of graffiti has its history, a large part of the artistic expressions are inspired in the past of the commune and speak of peace and hope.

It is the largest art gallery in Colombia, commune 13 is also known for its musical dances or its gastronomy, in the streets there are several hip hop shows, you will also find several restaurants, bars and viewpoints with an incredible view over the city. town.

Today the commune is a source of pride and an example of social improvement, it is the symbol of the rebirth of Medellín, after its violent past visited by thousands of tourists every day, it is a very quiet and safe area and has become one of the most attractive places in Medellin.

It is full of a lot of graffiti, a lot of street art, it has too many paintings on the walls that are changed from time to time so that tourists always come to see different graffiti and murals.

One of the things for which commune 13 is so popular, apart from the drastic change it made, is the flights of escalators, it has six flights of escalators and that is something that is very difficult to find in a popular neighborhood and that It gives a brutal plus to the commune 13.
You already know that you come to Medellin you cannot stop coming to commune 13 and have a delicious michelada and/or a beer, there are many souvenir shops, restaurants, you can come on a tour or you can also come alone, as I already told you the way. , you will find a lot of art, painting, people dancing, people rapping, the pleasant atmosphere is too much, which is found here is super cool as we Latinos say.
I hope the information is useful when making a decision, do not forget to support me and we will read next time, bye.

Undoubtedly, architecture has become the primary fulcrum from which a metropolitan landscape is drastically pivoted for the better. Without this interestingly valuable discipline, Commune 13 couldn't have possibly rejuvenated from the ashes. Thankfully, there were also dedicated people who ensured that the location's complete transformation would be effectively implemented. Such a remarkable urban community indeed @jhonnygo! 😊
That's right friend, both the structural and the will of the people to change and live together kindly gave a huge push in exchange; What surprised you was that first structural change and then the people.
Greetings

That's right, the art, the architecture, the atmosphere, the service, the hospitality, the environment and its people, gave the impetus for change, hence the demand in wanting to visit it. Thanks and regards.
