I agree with your constructive remark. I find the Parian monument in a secluded and in tight space. The master planners of the city before have great vision, but as modernity sink in and politics thrown into the mix, vision became clouded and ended up ruining some architectural heritage.
The problem with Cebu (or other cities in the Philippines) is the lack of urban planning in terms of enabling heritage and cultural representations to excel and blend with the modernity. There are good zoning laws but the implemention is not quite assertive. I agree that if the installation is in a park or plaza, it will be more appreciated.

Great feedback! Although, it could have been advisable to shift this heritage landmark to a more open environment, the current situation is quite understandable knowing that Cebu is an ancient city with small street networks. Thus, we see lots of road widening projects that accommodate more vehicular traffic and allow the construction of newer developments. 👍
And to think of it, the Heritage of Cebu Monument is only a stone's throw away from Colon, the oldest thoroughfare in the Philippines, thus transforming the Parian community and neighboring districts into a sought-after historical location for locals and tourists. 😊
