Cabaña de Campo (Diseño y construcción original) // Country Cabin (Design and build original )

Hello dear friends of hive, especially those of this community, here are some images of what is an ampo cabin that I built precisely in the field where I was born and raised. It is totally built with materials from the area, it consists of two levels and its dimensions are 7 meters long by 5 meters wide. Well I hope you can see them and like it, a hug to all.

The structure:
As you can see, its structure is made of wood with a palm roof. The palm is an autochthonous species of our area. Next I will show you the details and I will describe them.

As can be seen in the image, it is made of wood with trunks of trees in the area, taking into account the thickness and the cutting time according to the phase of the moon. It is recommended that the cutting of the wood be done in the waning phase, this will allow a greater durability of the wood since in this phase the wood is freer of liquids and nutritional substances that can attract insects that damage it.

EL PISO:::

THE FLOOR:
at the bottom it is still dirt although it is planned to pave with concrete in the future. In the upper part the floor is made of a plant known here as Caña Brava, which is a kind of bamboo that there is a lot around here. Its stems are very resistant and reach a thickness of up to 4 (four) centimeters in diameter with which any number of structures can be made from floors, doors, walls, etc., etc. see details below.

IMG_20210402_160041.jpg

THE CEILING:
The roof is made with the leaves of a palm tree existing in our area, which we call curumiche and in other parts of the country it is known as yagua. For this, the leaves are cut and the flakes are detached, they are put to dry for a period of three to four days and then they can be placed in layers as shown in the figures that I present below.

IMG_20210112_124306.jpg

IMG_20210119_145000.jpg

THE WALLS:
The walls were built using the main ribs or what we can call the veins of the palms which are smooth once the leaves are removed. This is an extremely resistant material as well as being very polished and beautiful when placed in well organized groups, giving a very beautiful view to the confections. To hold them, a natural rope was also used, which is the root of an aerial plant that lives in trees and its roots extend throughout the stem of the tree until they touch the ground. Its common name here is MAMURE and its internal fiber is a very resistant and moldable material due to its flexibility. Notice the details in the following images.

I also want to tell you that the beds are mattresses made with the dried leaves of banana plants which are very resistant and padded giving a very pleasant feeling when lying down.
With this I wanted to show that the best constructions can be made using materials that we have in sight and available without having to resort to large expenses for conventional materials

That's pretty cool! where I live that's called rumah panggung but with more sturdier selection of wood. How long did it take you to build one like that?

Hola gracias.

That humble cabin of yours reminds me of the cabin I used to stay when I am at my grandparent's house. Having to stay and lived in a traditional cabin of woods seemingly connects us with nature. !discovery 20

Asi es amigo. Es algo muy espectacular. Total conexion con la naturaleza

Truly, that's a marvelous hut on stilts! It allows cool air to ventilate the bottom area and other interior parts of that house, plus protects it from sudden flooding caused by torrential rains. Likewise, it's one of the most practical and economical ways of building shelter, especially in remote mountain regions, where those materials are readily available. A fun and relaxing way indeed to be immersed in the surrounding natural environment.

Greetings @lara261175, and a warm welcome to the Architecture+Design Community! Thank you for demonstrating the detailed process of constructing your beautiful abode and resthouse.

Muuuchas gracias.
Thans you very much.

What a great job! This is a good idea for eco-tourism developments

Gracias gracias
Thans you, thans you

What a wonderful hut. How Robinson Crusoe could have done with a hut like his. My daughter would be happy if I knew how to make such beautiful huts.
Best regards @lara261175.

Muchas gracia vale
Thans you my friend

I like your cabin, I sleeping in it gives a very cool experience at night. I am excited to see more of your works. Greetings from the Philippines!

Muchas gracias
Thans you very much.

You're welcome (^_^)

Felicitaciones amigo. Un excelente trabajo. Saludos

Gracias compadre.
