There is No Place like Home. Happy 1st anniversary my little tiny House.

Greetings everyone,

Sharing with you today another milestone we accomplish in our life.

This day we are celebrating our first anniversary being in our own little house. Last year was an amazing year for us because for almost eight years been living with the in-laws we fulfil one of our dreams which was to have our own home.

A little flashback from the story of how we had our house was when the pandemic strikes our government-mandated to give help to every family that was affected by the pandemic and that time we are still living by the in-laws together with my partner's sibling. As the government distributed the help it was demanded that it's only applicable for each household affected. It made us sad knowing that we are counted as one even though I badly need it to support the kid's needs since I stop my job at that the same time also.

So because of that I strongly wish to my partner that maybe if there is the only way we can build our own house so it won't happen to us again since it is the usual regulation in every government helps.

After a few months later to that, the government approve that it allows employees to have a calamity loan so we took the opportunity and that's how we started building the house together with the money we've got from the pigs we raised.

So here is it now from the day we first moved to our own house we're so happy I even wrote the date from the back of the door so we won't forget about it.

The house was so simple that eighty per cent of it was made of wood, it was made of coconut lumber and some cement for the pillar and the foundation. Plywood as the wall and some bamboos as decorations and tin roofing.

It measures 8×12 and the 8 meters was walled by plywood that serves as our living room/bedroom. The 4 meters was stayed open for the little kitchen. For our comfort room we still shared with the in-laws since for now, we can not yet afford to have our own.

To this day we have not yet done any improvement since life is still hard and the pandemic is still here. I don't have a job and it's just my partner who is looking for family needs. I just hope and prayed that one day when the right time comes we can have our decent house for us to live especially now the kids are growing so fast.

And before this content ends I would like to show you quickly what is inside our tiny house.

This is the part of the house where we sleep.

A cabinet and boxes for our clothes, we have one electric fan and a radio.

I love sticking memorable things on the wall like this. Hopefully to add more soon.

Most of the days we stayed with the in-laws and I even cooked there because they are getting old and they can't have a job and just depending on the other children's support. Since we are the nearest ones so I decided just to have their food together with us. We usually stay there in the daytime because the grandparents want the kids to entertain them and also they have the television there that's why the kids love to stay there and even sometimes when a storm came we usually evacuate there for sleep.

This is where I usually make my content on a hammock between the mango trees because I can feel peace here and the ambience is great.

The hammock is given to me by my good friend @millycf1976 and I'm so happy to have this, it always reminds me of her even we are so far already.

What I love now having my own house is that I can rest when I want. I can do any decorative thing inside and outside and of course, I can have my garden to beautify my little house.

all I can say is life is beautiful when you appreciate what you have and be happy with it and this is just a new chapter in our lives and I'm happy to share it with
you all and if you still reading this far thank you much.

I appreciate it.

Sending love to everyone.

Hello @luckylaica, nice to have you back in our community. Has it been a year already? Oh, how time flies so fast! It's truly amazing to see how your "Bahay Kubo" has survived extreme weather conditions like typhoons (we had some during the past months), pests, and other environmental hazards. Congrats on your humble abode's first year anniversary! Time to celebrate, cheers! 😊

Thank you so much. It happened that I joined Hive in January and I shared my house story a few months after that when it seems new. But anyway time is so fast one year is so quick. I Thank God that everything was fine even for several typhoons have passed a few months ago.
