[ESP] Un Incendio que se pudo evitar
[ENG] A Fire that could be avoided
Hola comunidad.
Hello community. Receive a respectful and cordial greeting from Venezuela. Today, another explosion occurred caused by accumulation of gases with the aggravating that caused fire of vegetation which spread burning 80% of the green area of the northern area of the El Alambique Residential Complex, of the Nueva Casarapa urbanization of Guarenas.
For several days I have been publishing in this community several problems that we have in the Urbanization where I live. Five days ago I published a post titled Dangerous Landscaping. where the problem of lush and large trees that are not pruned was visible for power laying. In the comments our friend @storiesoferne wrote me the following, quote: "No wonder, some highly developed countries install and bury their electrical and power systems underground - inside pipes, culverts, or other safer alternatives. As a result, there are no interferences with the growing foliage and plantations above our streets and sidewalks. Shouldn't all modern urban centers follow the same?". I replied to my friend, quote: " I presume that in a way it is safer; however, security must also be taken into account in such a system. I say this because I have seen the explosion three times, by accumulation of sewer gases and vaults of electricity and telephony. I presume static plays an important role or some spark is triggering". Immediately my friend @storiesoferne answered me, quote: "Yes, you're right! I agree that issues might also crop up in underground systems especially if electrical and gas lines are installed close to each other due to poor workmanship and lack of technical expertise. Electricity might spark the combustible gases and thus become a huge fire hazard. Well, I think it would still boil down to the proper, secure, and careful planning plus implementation of such devices in order to prevent major accidents from happening. Glad to interact with you, and thank you for your helpful insights!". The truth is that the interaction with my friend was extraordinary and important, as it should be.

Three days ago I republished another post trying to continue to make the problems visible to find a solution to avoid damage to regret. I titled the publication: Observing a problemin this post we also interacted with my friend @storiesoferne and I, he made me a written comment which I will quote below: "Drainage and sewer systems are one of the major urban elements that need proper maintenance. Your photos clearly highlight the consequences if these particular areas are not attended to. It takes the full cooperation of both the government agencies and the private citizens to fix those escalating problems for a more habitable and environmentally-friendly neighborhood". I replied to my friend @storiesoferne the following, quote: "It turns out that Urbanización Nueva Casarapa, before passing into the hands of the Municipality was private and therefore there was always good maintenance of all areas, but now it is neglected. Unfortunately, the neglect of all common areas influences political causes. Our quality of life has worsened, it has fallen noticeably. In previous posts related to tree roots damaging sidewalks, streets and buildings; as well as the lack of pruning that affects the electrical laying I try to make visible the many problems."
Guarenas, 06/02/2021.

Today I write this post, because what I have been alerting, verbally and in writing, to the General Meeting of Condominium happened. This is the fourth time a spark has caused an explosion in a drainage sewer due to gas buildup. The explosion happened exactly on the street behind the building where I live. One of the neighbors had his vehicle parked just above the sewer when the fact occurred, good thing he was able to move his car on time and prevented major damage to his property. The explosion ignited the accumulated leaf lit and the breeze quickly spread fire throughout the area because dry vegetation burns immediately. Unfortunately, the firefighters of our Municipality were unable to take the call for not having their units operational and had to ask for support from the Firefighters of Zamora Municipality to control the fire. Fortunately I am a friend of the Fire Commander who sent Lieutenant Rafael Aray, his son, with a cistern and three fire officers and managed to quell the flames.
Smoke that is generated during and after the fire is a major environmental problem because it not only pollutes the air, but seriously affects the respiratory system of all neighbors, especially those suffering from asthma or a problem in the bronchi.
Warm greetings @marcosmilano71! First of all, we are so sorry to hear about what happened! Thus, we sincerely sympathize with you and your entire community during your current crisis due to the devastating fire that caused considerable damage to your neighborhood! As much as we constantly try our best to prevent environmental disasters, they're absolutely beyond our control on certain occasions.
Furthermore, it's also fortunate that no human lives were lost and additional properties ruined when that occurred. Frightening accidents like this one serve as a critical wake-up call - a valuable lesson for concerned organizations and citizens in your vicinity to act immediately to fix the issue. We wouldn't want more lives to be in danger, would we?
Hope everything would turn out fine there. Thank you for mentioning my previous comments on this blog post and for documenting this crucial event for us to witness! Have a safe, healthy, and restful weekend!
Hello @storiesoferne Good morning. Thank you for your comment and good wishes. Thank God there was no harm to mourn, beyond all the vegetation that was burning and the problems caused by smoke. As for your comments, I think you are a certain, intelligent and very professional person, every scripture of yours fills me with knowledge and joy. I love interacting with you and every valuable person in this wonderful community. This social network is very interesting, here they motivate us and also give us lights to keep learning. Thank you and Happy Sunday, full of blessings.
Loss to property is extremely hurtful, sorry to hear about the fire. hope things shall get better soon.
Hey, @praditya. Good night from Venezuela. Fortunately there was no damage to the property, only all the dry vegetation and some of the green of the area was burned. The vehicle that was parked over the sewer was undamaged and its owner was able to move it on time as it was nearby. Thank you for your review. Greetings and blessings.
Good morning @marcosmilano71, sad to hear about the recent fire in your community. I am relieved to hear your neighbor was able to move his car away in time. Judging by the damage, the amount of smoke must have been horrible for everyone living within the vicinity. I hope concerned and responsible officials turn their attention and act accordingly to prevent future fires.
