Before continuing, I am pleased to report that, thanks to the invitation and generosity of the daughter who gave me life, Inés García, mother of my beloved granddaughter; today my wife is visiting the city of Lima, capital of the Republic of Peru; city located on the central coast of the country, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. In addition, I must inform you that it has been more than four years since Inés, my son and my beloved granddaughter; as well as some relatives and friends, are living in that beautiful city, located in South America. My wife was almost five years old without being able to hug our granddaughter and son; for that reason, today he is happy next to our loved ones.

The Republic of Peru and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have a common history, they are sister republics that share, together with the
Republic of Colombia, the
Plurinational State of Bolivia and the
Republic of Ecuador, the same Liberator;
Simón Bolívar. By the way, we cannot forget the
República de Panamá that originally also belonged to the great territory that made up the viceroyalties of Peru and New Granada, during the Spanish colonial period. Finally, Panama was made official after the signing of the Act of Separation of Panama from Colombia. The truth was that the great liberating army fought bravely against the Spanish crown and gave freedom to the aforementioned republics.

After this very brief historical review, I want to return to the tour that my beloved wife took, together with our loved ones, through the District of Barranco, located in the department of Lima, in the Republic of Peru. Barranco is located south of the Lima metropolitan area. It limits to the west with the Pacific Ocean, and to the north with the district of Miraflores (Av. Armendáriz), to the east with the district of Santiago de Surco (Old Groove), and to the south with the district of Chorrillos. . It is one of the smallest districts of Lima.
Text / Text Barranco is a Bohemian District, it is a place full of charm, art and tradition where artists and intellectuals are the main characters in their stories.
Although Lima combines past and present, the district of Barranco adds color and life to every corner. And it is that its architecture as peculiar as it is picturesque, its old mansions currently adapted into bars and museums and its crowded boardwalk that borders the cliff of the Costa Verde, do nothing more than invite you to visit this destination that never goes out of style.

After its destruction in the War of the Pacific, the hermitage was rebuilt in 1882. The hermitage underwent several changes since its inception. One of the tourist attractions of this small District of Lima is the
Bridge of Sighs, located very close to the Municipal Park. This bridge is one of the most frequented tourist sites. According to the information I found when clicking on this
LINK It is an old wooden bridge, built in 1876, whose romantic and warm atmosphere is a reason for many couples to visit. According to legend, if you make a wish and manage to cross the platform while holding your breath, your wish will come true. My beloved wife, my granddaughter and my son ventured to cross the bridge, she made a wish but she did not reveal it to me, she keeps it a secret so that it comes true, I hope her wish comes true and that we continue to be very happy. Amen.

Another of the tourist attractions of the Barranco District is La Santísima Cruz Church, a sacred site that was also visited by my wife but unfortunately found closed. It is good to point out that this Catholic temple is located in the municipal Plaza. According to what I was able to investigate, the Iglesia La Santísima Cruz de Barranco is the main sacred precinct of that town. This parish houses in its interior one of the images with the greatest devotion in Lima, the sacred image of
the Lord of Miracles of Barranco that goes out in procession in the month of November. The temple was inaugurated and opened to parishioners in 1963, almost twenty years after the first stone was laid.

The District of Barranco is one of the most visited by locals and strangers. My wife was delighted to have gone to that place. She is very grateful for that reason, she never stops thanking the mother of our beloved granddaughter for the courtesy she has shown her, and from here, from Venezuela, I never tire of thanking Inés and my son for what excellent hosts they are. Another attraction found at the entrance to the District of Barranco is the Family Park where a beautiful lagoon with swans, ducks and geese was built for the enjoyment of the people who visit the place. I believe, and without fear of being wrong, that the municipality of Lima has a good team of landscapers, designers, environmentalists and architects who psychologically help improve people's quality of life.
Thank you for joining me on this walk.

Hello dear friend, good morning. Thank you for sharing these moments and photos of your loved ones in Lima. Magnificent post that shows one of the beauties we have in Latin America, worthy of being shown to the whole world. Congratulations

Good morning dear, admired friend, colleague and neighbor @besamu Thank you for your words. Thank you for your friendship and constant support. Greetings and infinite blessings.
Warm greetings dear friend Marcos @marcosmilano71. It's such an enormous pleasure to be fascinated by the Barranco District of the Republic of Peru. Thank you for virtually touring us around the magnificent works of architecture that specific location is fully blessed with.
I'm definitely curious about that "Bridge of Sighs". How long is that platform? And if you're going to hold your breath for the entire duration of the bridge's span just to make a wish, could some people choke for lack of air at the end of the crossing? 😊
NOTE: Forgive me dear friend if I didn't answer what you expected but it made me laugh a lot.Hahahahahaha Hello my dear friend Erne @storiesoferne hahahahaha your question made me laugh because I also asked the same thing. Hahahahaha I can't stop laughing at your jokes. I presume that the path of the bridge is not so long hahahahaha... I can't stop laughing. Oh my God! I had never laughed so much with a comment as serious, but at the same time, as witty as this one. Thank you dear friend. Receive a strong spiritual hug full of blessings, positive energy and lots of light.
Now if you're serious: According to the information I found, the famous Bridge of Sighs has a Total Length: 44 m, a Width: 3 m and was Inaugurated: February 14, 1876
Hello friend Erne @storiesoferne my wife and my son have laughed a lot with your ideas, they send you a fraternal greeting. My wife says that many people stand on the bridge taking pictures and sometimes it is difficult to cross from one side to the other, so if a person or couple decides to do it, they will probably turn purple or pass out due to lack of oxygen hehehehehehe. By the way, at the bottom of the bridge there are some walls that cannot be seen in the photograph, the walls have painted murals. Then I leave you a photograph that my son sent me where he appears, his mother and my granddaughter.
Oh wow! 😊 That bridge also has hidden secrets below. Those beautiful murals are certainly eye-catching and clearly inviting to any visitor who happens to pass there. I'm pretty sure your wife Mercedes and your son's family had an incredible time there.
Question? Do people still have to hold their breath when passing below that bridge @marcosmilano71? hahaha. 🤣
Hahahaha I answer you. Legend has it that if a person or a couple in love makes a wish and then, without breathing, manages to walk across the mythical and historic Bridge of Sighs, 44 meters long, (above, not below) then the wish will be fulfilled. will comply Hahahaha My wife says that the difficult thing is to cross when there are tourists on the bridge because they stop to take pictures and what they do is block the passage of those who are purple on the verge of fainting, hehehehehehe.
In summary: The legend says that whoever crosses the bridge holding their breath, their wish will be fulfilled, that is why it has become a famous and even romantic place because lovers go hand in hand to ask for their wishes . So when you, dear friend, visit Peru, don't forget to cross the bridge, hehehehehe but first you must train hehehehehe Receive a strong and warm hug, full of blessings, positive energy and lots of light.
I will start my breathing exercises ASAP, hahaha. 🤣 And of course, I will not forget to experience that interesting attraction in Peru called the Bridge of Sighs. Thank you dear friend Marcos @marcosmilano71 for sharing this remarkable architectural adventure. Virtual hugs to you and your lovely family! 😊🙏
Hahaha. 🤣 Laughing is definitely so contagious right dear friend @marcosmilano71? The first time I read that statement, I immediately scratched my head and wondered if I could survive crossing that bridge by not breathing at all. Just imagine walking 44 meters without breathing? Quite a human feat! Isn't it? 😁
Hahahahaha yes my friend, that's right. Greetings and infinite blessings.
I love this view of a road by the seashore, it must have been an amazing experience driving on that road.
Hello friend @afterglow I greet you from Venezuela. Yes friend, the view is very beautiful from that viewpoint, that highway borders the entire coast, according to those who have passed through that road, it is a fascinating experience. Receive a strong spiritual hug, full of blessings, positive energy and lots of light.
