Wherever we walk to find the destination we are going to, every time we travel, we will definitely find some surprises in the form of things that catch our attention and that are very hard to miss and your camera lens or cellphone lens is eager to take action to capture these things. That morning when I was looking for breakfast in the Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur and walking in no particular direction just to stretch my legs and look for breakfast that would arouse our appetite and I accidentally saw this Café called Hoi An @ Café KL which really caught my attention. This café is next to the hotel and is named Anggun Boutique Hotel. At first I thought that these were different managers but it turned out they were the same management and because this cafe was still not open so I just reviewed the design from the front and I combined it with the hotel next door.
We start from Hoi An Restaurant. This restaurant looks like a Chinese gate but the owner is Thai. The slightly curved shape of the roof is typical of Chinese buildings and in each right and left corner of the roof are red lanterns with colorful flower patterns which attracted me as I walked along this road. Then the roof is supported by pillars which have 2 designs here. The pillar design at the top is a yellow wall panel with a black frame around it. This frame is made with light steel.
Then the bottom pillar is made of brick whose surface has been smoothed so it looks neater. In the right and left corners of the gate they put green plants which I am sure are not only to beautify the place but there are elements of Fengshui there. Oh yes, the gate itself is made of simple light steel which is colored black and brown. And in the corner next to the restaurant which has entered the realm of the Anggun hotel, there is a splash of water falling into a small pond with goldfish in it. In the middle of the small pond there is a jug whose function is to provide a mini fountain for fish to breathe at the same time. And the pool walls are beautified with minimalist wall panels so that everything looks so harmonious.
Then at the Anggun gate, this hotel also still carries a modern traditional theme which we can see from the door model which is made of wood with flower ornaments made of wood which is also very comfortable with this view. Then this theme is emphasized by lamps caged in baskets that have been converted to beautify the existence of the lamps. There are 2 types of baskets that can be used like lanterns. One is oval in shape with a dark brown color and the other is round in shape with the natural color of the bamboo. Even though I see that the restaurant and hotel are contradictory in conveying the theme. One smells Chinese and the other is more Asian. However, both have the same concept, namely traditional Modern which is in harmony and complements each other. I really wanted to enter the restaurant but it was a shame that I arrived too early in the morning while at noon I had to move to another city for the next itinerary.
Maybe on my next trip I will stop by this café again to satisfy my curiosity. This cafe is currently located in Bukit Bintang at the T-junction near the MRT station. If you are there, represent me to look inside..he..he.. greetings from me maytom, Indonesia
