There are many unexpected things when we are on a trip, especially when we travel quite far. There will be many things that are out of control and a little off track and as a traveler that is normal and you have to be prepared for all the risks and worst possibilities. For example, when I traveled to Bukit Tinggi several months ago, when my feet were on the edge of the forest without any residential housing while the rain was falling heavily, the motorbike we were riding accidentally entered an uneven road because the road was flooded with water. so that the road conditions are not visible. Because our motorbike went onto an uneven road as a result our speediometer or fuel gauge went dead so we didn't know whether we still had fuel or whether it was critical and this happened along the way without us being able to do anything, but it all passed.
Likewise with accommodation because the distance we traveled was long and due to weather factors I was forced to lose a little of my money because we couldn't use the accommodation I had booked. And this happened on the way home. Initially we were optimistic that we could travel home at least 200 kilometers from the high hills and we planned to stay overnight in Tarutung City, but in the middle of the journey it turned out that my body couldn't take it anymore and my eyes were very sleepy due to the slightly extreme weather factors and the winding roads in The edge of the forest made me decide that we should stop and look for the nearest hotel to avoid anything untoward.
And along the way, finally, right on the edge of a small river on the main road, I found an inn and I didn't know what kind of inn it was, but I wanted to immediately rest and lie down, straighten my stiff muscles and take a shower with warm water. The name of this accommodation is Mariring hotel, which is located in Payambungan City, the border between West Sumatra and North Sumatra. Entering the reception room, the room is very clean and there is a dining table and a table made of wooden roots as a support there. And when I asked about the price of this room, it turned out that I was very lucky because the room price was very cheap, namely Rp. 80,000 or the equivalent of U$ 5 dollars. per night and there is a fan, television and free drinking water. But don't worry about the heat because this city is a city that is included in the cool city category, not too hot and not too cold.
However, because this hotel is cheap, I was a little uncomfortable because the mattress was not soft enough, the mattress was a little hard, but because it was only one night and my body was too tired, I didn't think about it anymore. In front of each hotel room there is a long iron chair for relaxing. In front of the hotel there is a small park located right on the edge of the river that I mentioned earlier. A hotel with a second floor that is kept clean from the outside. There are only a few shortcomings that could be corrected, namely the color of the room paint which has started to fade and the condition of the mattress which is rough, but with such a cheap price should we expect much? Especially what I said earlier, there are many things that are out of our control when traveling long distances. So, with such cheap lodging prices, is this hotel suitable for temporary lodging?
