Many buildings, many places of worship, but this is one of the coolest buildings in this city. It's not just about the architecture of the building that makes the building beautiful, but the beauty of this building itself lies in the place where this building stands. How could this place be ignored with the cool views around this building. So why do I say this place is cool over and over again? So I will explain them one by one to all of you in this cool community too.
The name of this mosque is a floating mosque. And why is it said to be a floating mosque? The answer is because this mosque is located above the sea, specifically the sea in the city of Tanjung Bunga, Penang Island, Malaysia. And every corner of the mosque's courtyard offers views of the sea and the surrounding tall buildings and this is truly a unique view, not only beautiful, especially if you enjoy this view in the afternoon with the sea breeze slowly hitting your skin and the sun starting to set. This is truly an extraordinary view for me, very peaceful and very calm especially here it is free from commotion, not only that from here we can see the activities of local fishermen who will go and return after fishing in the middle of the ocean.
Then, to enter the floating mosque, we can go through a road that resembles a bridge. On the sides of the bridge, small wooden chairs are neatly arranged and next to them there are ornamental plants. Really from here it feels really very comfortable to be in this place. And not just wooden chairs but chairs made of cement which they painted white to match the color of the existing bridge.
And to enter this mosque we have to go through a half-curved door which is painted gray, then above the door it is painted white and above it again they give a touch of ornamentation resembling flowers made from colored wall panels. colorful. And the ceramic floor in front of the door is also shaped like a certain pattern in the middle to give a busy impression. Then I climbed the stairs because for women to worship in this mosque it is on the second floor. And look at the design, on the steps of the stairs there are stages made of wood which have been carved and then arranged in such a way that they look very aesthetic and the wood has been painted brown to make it look more natural and much more elegant.
And when I entered the second floor I immediately saw a very soft green fur carpet with small flower motifs on it, but because it was not yet time for prayer. I went outside again and looked around the mosque. And in one corner of the mosque I saw a collection of flowers that were very well maintained and the flowers had red leaves placed parallel and this was truly an unusual sight. I wanted to see the interior of the mosque and immortalize it but unfortunately due to regulations I couldn't do it. However, the architecture outside the mosque really made me very entertained by it
And I also took several pictures from various corners of the mosque that I had documented. And in one of the mosques I also found the history of the floating mosque which turned out to be called the Jamek Mosque, but because I was used to the existence of this mosque on the sea, the local and international community became more familiar with this mosque as the floating mosque and started leaving his real name behind. And being in this place is as if we are at a tourist attraction and find many unique things in it. What do you think about this building. Very beautiful, right? And I had to end my exploration at this mosque because I had to go to other tourist attractions. Greetings from maytom, Indonesia
I've never heard of a floating mosque before @maytom. It must have been a challenging process to build this sacred building on top of an aquatic environment, right? Nevertheless, it's still a finely crafted work of architecture that's worth our appreciation. Brilliant discovery! ☺️
