When the interior of the building is very strong with a regional feel

When I was a teenager, I felt that anything that used regional symbols or nuances was something very old-fashioned and I was very embarrassed to display it, especially since in Indonesia there are many regional tribes that have their own characteristics which definitely have different meanings. as well as different dominant colors and interiors. However, as time went by and I got older, I realized that to see anything regional, we have to go to the place where the region originates and it is very difficult to find anything regional in big cities like the city where I live now This.

Like the buildings that will be shown to you in this community. This is a simple building located in the Samosir Islands Region. In the city where I live, buildings like this are no longer visible. All the buildings in my area have an Urban building theme or all have a modern building concept, both minimalist and luxurious buildings. But try to look at this building, this is not a luxurious building, just a simple resting place which is usually used for bus or rental car drivers who are waiting for their passengers to finish walking to Samosir Island. But who would have thought that this resting place or stopping place could be as aesthetic and cool as this.

Maybe in other areas the buildings are just ordinary resting places for drivers, but here they are not just resting places for drivers, almost all the buildings in this area have a regional feel for each architecture of the buildings they use. This building, which is right on the side of the road, has a green mini garden and is very neatly arranged. Even if there is no mini park built, the view around this resting place is very beautiful with the stunning backdrop of Lake Toba.

This building itself is a simple one-story building, but it has been elevated as if it were a two-story building. The building on the first floor is just a short tunnel that is not used for anything, but I see that perhaps in the past this building was made high so that no animals could enter the building, especially since the area around Lake Toba was a wilderness.

The upper trusses of this building are in the shape of a triangle with boards dominant and each side of the triangle is decorated with different abstract carvings on each layer of the frame. These carvings are typical carvings from Samosir Island, the meaning of which I don't really understand. Then this building is supported by six large pillars which are colored bricks and then smoothed by varnishing. And the roof used on this building is a type of board made from forest wood which is often found around the edge of the forest on Lake Toba.

And on the edge of this building there is also a white stainless steel barrier, the purpose of which, as I have mentioned above, is to prevent animals from entering the building so that the animals do not steal the drivers' belongings, especially when the drivers are asleep. Oh yes and there is another interesting thing around this building, namely there is a statue of Pastor Radboud Waterreus O.F.M. Cap is one of the very famous missionary figures from the Catholic Church on Samosir Island who spent 40 years of service in Batak land. That is why this figure is very famous on Samosir Island, where the majority of the population is Christian.
This simple building that is rich in artistic value typical of the Batak land is very cool, right? What do you think? Come on, let's find it in the comments column and greetings from me, Maytom, Indonesia
